Primary Bug Report Plotting the Future - Quest does not advance and Jake locks up after building Agricultural Plot

Just got back from concord, put the farming plot down and he just stands there and stares at it. I feel like it might be related to place anywhere or workshop+?
 
Im assuming at this point its a mod conflict, Ive seen a lot of people with this problem as well, anyone have any ideas what the conflict could be?

Still getting the Stranger freeze after the agriculture plot too, but thats fixable with commands, to recap the main problem now is that the plots arent being built up after they are assigned and I never get the animations or the scaffolding thats supposed to come up.
 
I'm working on the assumption of a conflict as well, since my settlers will actually just stop moving entirely on their own. I've got from 100+ mods down to 17 just to try and slowly figure this out for myself lol

Im doing the same lol, let me know if you find anything, and Ill keep this thread updated if I do as well.
 
To expedite things, could I simply make a save before the agriculture one, make sure it works beyond industry, and then add mods and reload that save? Or is it best to start fresh every time.

He just asked me to place down an agricultural plot, and I did, he does the dialogue, the quest says he finished, but nothing happens, and now he doesn’t move or talk unless i shoot him. Reloading prior saves does nothing. Can anyone help? Or do I have to start a new game?
 
Have you uploaded to the most current patch? It does not sound like the same issue but 1.0.0b Fixes an issue with agricultural plot?


Tonight's hotfix 1.0.0b (version 4 for Xbox) resolves the following:

  • Lily will now always show up with 2 settlers. Previously the number was meant to fluctuate between 1 and 3, depending on settler count, but the functionality was buggy and would sometimes result in her showing up with 7 people incorrectly.
  • Fixed a bug where Stranger would repeat his agricultural building scene over and over every time you exited workshop mode before you built the Industrial plot for that quest.

same here, but the thing is, even when I disable all other mods the problem still persists.
Meaning this could be either a mod conflict that permently ruins a save, or just a rare bug that people are stumbling on now.
Add on the fact that all of the modlists I've seen posted are wildly different and I can't really make heads or tails of this.
 
From what i have seen there is something very weird with how SS2 runs scripts.
i have a feeling there are several loops that are causing scriptlag since the described symptoms directly points at it
 
So, I downloaded 1.0.0.e and I read in the patch notes that it might be still stuck for some people who had already started it. So I went out, uninstalled SS2 and all related mods, saved again, and then reinstalled and opened that save. I was able to trigger the arrival of the Stranger by placing a recruitment beacon, but now I am unable to even place the initial residential plot, and the city manager desk now insists I have no city plans available (despite having one before). The Stranger, as before, will not talk to me, even to trade.
