[109a] Incorrect Commercial assignments/inventory

I'm having a wierd issue that I think I've seen others mention in the past, but want to make sure.
By which I mean, in my current save which was started on version 1.0.9 (actually 1.0.9a, as charactername implies), I have Lily assigned at a Bar, and she's giving her correct "vendor bark" dialog lines, but she's got the "vendor only sells their personal inventory and not the store's" glitch going on. In that same settlement, Alex Powell is assigned at a Martial plot, but he ALSO has what I think are "vendor bark" lines, and talking to him has him offer the dialog option to Barter too (and HE has a full stock of food).

Is this sort of thing still happening to anyone else?

(side note: is the Vit-O-Matic that hard to actually aim with when used in 'ranged mode' for everyone, or am I just awful with it?)

So it seems the inventory and the dialog are in fact assigned but at least the inventory to the wrong person?

Did you try the vit o matic on both?

What happens if you destroy the general goods store?

Shooting both with the Vitomatic: No effect, even after leaving game idle for 5 minutes to make sure
Destruction of Commercial Plot: "Shopkeep" assigned to it lost Vendor Interaction (as expected), "Guard" still had Vendor interaction/inventory

I will reiterate that thanks to obsessive manual assignment and building only as needed, no assignments were ever shared between the two Settlers.

Did you try a plot refresh? Its a longshot, but maybe something glitched when the stage items were spawned.

I have no idea where to even begin diagnosing something like this. I have only seen this happen some time before v1.0.1ish. Like a settler assigned to an ag plot trying to solicit me for a haircut. A precise alignment of the stars might be required for the assignment code to assign vendor stuff to a non vendor.

Edit - another thought: try using the town meeting gavel to unassign everyone. Then manually reassign them and see if it does it again.

Yeah, I tried several permutations, and could not reproduce it happening - and the "Guard" kept acting as a General Goods Vendor even with every plot in the settlement destroyed. Interesting though is that the "Commercial Plot worker only offers their own personal inventory in the Barter window, not the Shop's" bug was fixed in 1.0.14, if the patch notes are to be believed, but I'm looking at a vendor doing it right now.

Ok I give up on this, since it involves bugs that have totally "been fixed already" still happening. Someone else can deal with it, I will just add an entire plot type to the list of parts of the mod that dont work for me and only me (until six weeks from now where it hits someone else and is fixed that day, like most of my other bug reports).

I use "targetID.RemoveFromFaction", and so far so good.
My question is more, why are people that were NEVER assigned to a commercial type plot getting the vendor faction keyword/s added in the first place?
I had it happen with Jules Powell since my last post in this thread too, she kept giving what I presume to be Bar type "vendor barks" every time I walked near her despite having never been assigned to a shop full stop.
I havent had any luck figuring out potential causes though. Same for the "vendor has no shop inventory" thing, which still happens to me despite supposedly being fixed ages ago.

Since these issues apparently arent affecting many people, I just put it all aside as yet another thing that only annoys me personally.

I have that with the Daughter from the Powels after they join my Settlement i make the entire family Farmers and the daughter nothing as i can assign her but she left the Work short after from alone so this time i give her nothing but talk to her and she ask me if i want to Buy something. When i say yes she sells Books and random things. At this point in the game i don't have a Book store and im not able to Build any.So not sure why she become a Trader much more as she can not Work.

I've noticed that it is more prone to happen when you send your settler to a settlement where there is an unnoccupied commercial plot.

"More" prone, maybe, but I've definitely seen it happen in settlements where there is not any vacant job slots at all.

In my last 3 playthroughs, Alex Powell has vendor barks and a shop inventory even though he has always been assigned to an Industrial plot. Does Julia Powell ever sell glowing milk?

I don't believe individuals have unique vendor inventory in that regard. As far as I know, that's just set by the 'vendor type'.
One of the Powells has almost invariably done this for me, but that is almost certainly just coincidence - I've seen it happen even with generic settlers. But if it's happening with this much regularity from them, that might be an angle I can use for testing. Time to get a save up to the point just before recruiting them...

The Museum of Oddities vendor sells unique items

That's set by the store itself being unique, not by the person operating it. I should've been clearer in what I meant.
So someone needs to make a Julia Powell's Glowing Milk Stand plot? I'll challenge Frederick to do it. He loves challenges

Come on Frederick. You could win a RTX 3070 Ti with ROG just for uploading it to Nexus

How does one unlock Museum of Oddities? Since everyone is talking about it.
"pra's Random Addon" addon pack, 2x2 commercial. Sells random stuff that can then be placed as Decorations in the build menu, and the shop itself is a museum of other random stuff that is fun to look at.
We appear to have all independantly decided that the plot belongs to Franklin, too.
