Hi Everyone,

I am deep into development of a new add-on pack which will be a collection of Martial Add-ons. I am looking for suggestions and must have's from the community so please feel free to post suggestions and ideas for Martial Plots that you feel are missing.

I think mini fortresses would be awesome. I am thinking of one, that could have some different wings to it to form a larger structure
 
Dojo: a place which teaches martial arts. Spawns NPCs which fight without weapons (except knuckles or boxing gloves maybe), but are very good at doing so. At lvl3 they gain a bloody-mess-like perk to punch people so hard that they explode :)

Secret Police: looks like an office of sorts, not like a defense post. Spawns NPCs which look like SS visitors, but have ballistic weave, silenced pistols, sniper rifles, stealth boys, and better stats. They could have names like "Farmer", "Scavenger" etc, including the "".
Bonus defense and/or potentially synth detection, at the cost of happiness.

Tesla tower: downscaled power line pylon or such which shoots lightning. More defense, but also higher power cost.

Katyusha: basically just an old truck with a missile turret on the truckbed.
 
maybe like a gatehouse in the middle that links it with a town on each side to help protect the gate house maybe even with both plot and non-plot units to build a matching wall?
@vincent - I do have a left and right corner plot. Maybe I could join them with a gatehouse in the middle which would be 3 plots wide in the end.

@pra - Very Eastern European / Cold War - I LOVE IT! :) Funny story. My very first mod was a area for a text based MMO back at Uni. It was a Ninja training academy!

I would be very excited to have an internal plot that would be very much like one of the fortified external plots but be internal. Nothing fancy, ideally simple. Just without the external plot pole.:hearts


Maybe just an internal plot that has everything pushed to the ASAM sensor end so it is half size. Hahaha, and more intimate:good. Really anything kind of like the below? Like an internal check point or something a user could place externally in their own self constructed tower or guard station or in an interior hardened checkpoint? :acute

Big spiky gate. Something similar to entering vaults with rad scanners and high tech security. Amazonian protection squad. Cat assault corps. Trap-based-fire, tesla, etc.

Cat Assaul Force! :!cat: I am still chuckling! Combat kittens dedicated to eternal hostility against every form of tyranny threading their settlements and the providers of murlock pate :crazy, hahaha, sorry “got a little carried away there”:grin

I like Kooky. A Lot :crazy the add-on authors do this so well. I love to build stuff myself but I frankly can’t resist the humor, kookiness and creativity then authors bring into the game. That diversity is everything to me now as otherwise I would have long ago gotten board with Fo4.

BaconSausage from WV is absolutely brilliant and one of the things I love about sim settlements and Fo4. That underlying humor just makes everything better!

May I make a suggestion on the spawned NPC fighters with fists... best companion I have found for hand to hand - hands down... is:

Seriously, she is a companion with double handed fighting combat AI (check her stats out in FO4Edit - she looks harmless - but it is all in the combat AI she has)... she is an absolutely marvelous combat style... very aggressive and right faction - she is a joy to watch her bare knuckle fight... and she self heals fast... and she just dives right in..

Best Knife fighter VEX also has amazing fighting skill one handed melee... give her a fast switchblade and watch her...

Aurora is CBBE based, Vex (like Heather) is not... and I don't like the random changes back to default clothes... so Aurora is a mainstay.

Plus, she hums and sings as you are sneaking along... "when the circle, is unbroken, by and by... " creepy.

But seriously, the combat AI to duplicate...

For even more East-European Cold War stuff, you could also add a border control outpost. It would have a small booth for the guard, and one of these toll bars. Like this, but less fancy:

I can't figure out how you call that in english. "Border Guard Booth" seems to give me mostly modern variants of the thing in google image search, not the soviet/easteuropean ones I'm thinking about...

If the booth is big enough, there could be a desk for the settler, with some documents lying on it. Something looking like photos and passports, if possible. Otherwise, just have them stand guard in there.
The toll bar (is this even what you call it?) should have that door script which all SimSettlements doors have which make it auto-close.
A doghouse and a spawned guard dog would also fit the image. And/or just put a turret onto the booth. Potentially also a survelliance camera, like at Covenant. The booth could have a screen to make it seem like the settler can actually use the cam.

An interior version would be mostly just the desk with passports, photos, forms etc on it. Maybe still spawn the dog, but just give it a simple "dog lies here on the floor" marker next to the desk.
Maybe some propaganda posters on the wall behind the desk. Not sure about turrets here. I think bubble turrets on the ceiling would be best, but with an interior plot, you can't really know where the ceiling will be. Maybe put a bubble turret on the desk, but I doubt this would look good.. Or maybe wall-mounted bubble turrets onto the back wall, behind where the settler sits? I think "place this against a wall" is reasonable to ask from a player.
 
@pra - I'm very excited that someone else has the idea for a border checkpoint! Definitely on the list. :) Awesome drawing too by the way.

One thing I’d really love is an internal that serves as a gate, and even a 1x1 that serves as a gate. In smaller settlements a 2x2 is a bit much, or impossible and I’ve always thought that an internal could be stuck sideways between your fencing.

I think the new stuff added for 4.05 will open up things for Internal Martial plots. I feel like I can probably come up with some for Int Plot Hospital/Armory/Mess Hall(Rec)
 
It will be great to have more options for Martial!
And maybe when Martial has much more options it can help justify 3x3 for more categories!

I think it's been undersupported because it's hard to just make more turret tower or guard post buildings while also offering something new. Hospital/Armory will be the perfect solution to help with that. Same with Mess Hall for Rec plots.
