Hi!
I've already solved my issue, but want to help so I'll post the bug and player-side solution here.

Edit:
After continued play for a bit, a new follow-up quest

Short version:
Main issues
Quest: [Not All Artists Starve]

1: After retrieving the desired item from quest giver, makes player greet other npcs with the dialogue "Here you go. I'm sure you'll put them to good use"
Player-side Solution: Turn in the quest and accept the reward. (I killed the guy and his robot as to avoid further bugs"

2: After receiving reward Junk Sculpture - Bowling Trophy, C2D would occur each time item was viewed either in the pip-boy or workshop-mode.
Player-side Solution: Access 3rd person then open up the console. At this point, click on your character and a reference should appear.
Type: | showinventory | and a list will be generated. Scroll until you find the item that causes the problem. To the right side of its name you will find the needed ID.
Type: | player.removeitem XXXXXXX | (replace the Xs with the ID)

- See screenshot for reference

EDIT: After some continued play a follow-up quest appeared called Sunflower at Sundown, telling me to speak to Treadwell - even though both Treadwell and its owner is dead

I'm not sure if the reward is random. If that's the case, you might not have this same C2D problem as I've had - but you'll know what to do if it happens (or with any other item for that matter)

NON-PC
I believe this quest might be in the cut-content and shouldn't show up for XBOX players, but if it does I would suggest the following:
Make a save preferably before accepting the quest, but at least before turning in this quest. Try turning it in and see if the crash happens. If it does, reload the save.
If you're on the quest and you keep repeating the line "Here you go. I'm sure you'll put them to good use" to all NPCs in the commonwealth, try killing the quest-giver to force the quest to fail (untested). If nothing works, I would try finding as late a save as possible before accepting the quest, because this bug is game-breaking
