"No rooms found for this project" When trying to build Watchkeeper's barracks

Hey, For like a day or two I'm having a bug where everything i try to build in GNN HQ it tells me "No rooms found in this project" however it still withdraws the recourses. I cleaned up the whole building. I have some other mods running as well, but they are mainly for clothes and other customization

I run the latest version of both the game and the mod.

In my game, it gave me the option to build the Watchkeeper's Barracks long before I had progressed to the point in the story where I could actually build it. And it gave me the same message. Later on in the story I was finally able to build it.
As for the resources, yes it subtracted them but it should add them back in after leaving workshop mode for a bit.

I have to quest to build more living quarters, but i don't have such building buildable that's why i was trying to place down the barracks, do i need to do something else before that?
I also have the quest to build the computer network, however i can't fit that many people in 3 slots to have 60 engineering energy.

Have you cleaned all the available rooms? Some rooms around the comm array can be made into living quarters, some on the upper "main floor" too. If you've cleaned them you should have the option to build them (quarters for 2 or 4 or 6 or department head quarters for 1), is that not happening?
P.S. You'd have to construct "engineering jobs" so that department can hold more workers. Rooms like bathrooms, hvac control, power rooms, etc. Lots in the basement.

I cleared all the avaliable rooms what the game bring up for me only have the other option left. Also it doesn't bring up any option for build any quarters or bathrooms or anything. These are the only things the game brings up that i can build:
  • Mansfield's improved office
  • Watchkeeper's barracks
  • Rooftop relaxation area/corner
  • Welcoming courtyard
  • Some defenses from Security Jobs
  • and Computer network

So in the construction menu those are the only things you can build? Can you walk up to a box on the wall (room control) and see if that gives any options to build rooms? Or if you can remember when this started, rolling back would probably be best..

It doesn't give any options since the start of it. Rolling back would hurt a lot because like 20 hours of travel/building would be removed. There was a lot of bugs somewhy during my playthrough but always found a way around it. With this I'm stuck at the moment of time.

To quote Yagisan from another thread and completely 100% different issue,
I am wondering if the issue is script lag. Baka MaxPapyrusOps may help with that.
Kinggath previously said about simillar problems that they may be related to script lag (and boy does SS2 have a lot of scripts) so that mod may be beneficial. Not sure if it's gonna be a miracle cure but who knows. (Also Buffout)
If you had tons of issues with this save as it is, it may be best to just start over, but that isn't the kind of advice that anyone embraces with open arms.

Unluckily it did not work, and probably I would only start over after i finished this save and somehow "skip" the GNN building for the time being.

These are all of my options to build, its easier to see it through :

If you have no living quarters left, your problem is probably that you wasted your first few rooms on single capacity rooms, like Theresa's, Lupe's etc. Turn a couple of them into two or four capacities just so you can get a few more workers in for the meantime.

You can turn them back into special rooms once you have the others available.

Well that's depressing. You could try and tgm some other projects and see if that kicks it but doubtful. Definitely a bug. You could force complete this quest using the holotape, then maybe do the same for Commonwealth Rising. At some point during that it may fix itself I guess. There's not much HQ building in chapter 3 (or at least not as much).

This certainly seems like there never were any options to build those rooms.

Also I noticed in the past that switching from "slow timers" to "override timers" in the middle of a project would brick that project and the room would disappear permanently as an option (that was with power distribution room..). Not sure if that was bad luck or what and if it's fixed.
Same kinda issue with cancelling projects though that should be resolved by now.

I left everything on default due was afraid to break something. Also did not cancel any projects

The only rooms I built are the ones the tutorial wants to you place down, after that i just upgraded mansfield's office and cleaned up everything.

Wait, did you get a popup with building options every time you started a project to clean a room? This should kick you out of workshop mode and present options. If you went too fast through that, that must be why there's no options. Super stuck scripts.
If you didn't though, that must mean something went wrong as well :/

No, i did not get any popups, probably cleaning up was bugged as well due popped up some errors during those as well. (It finished so i didn't make much about it)

Was the error about "no options found" or something like that too?
You could still try the old "restart the game and sit in one place for 20 minutes doing nothing, before going workshop mode" method and hope for scripts to catch up. Especially with that mod, assuming it's installed properly and doing its voodoo. Might be too late :/

Yes it was something about no options found. I will try that 20 minute and hope. The mod I installed from inside the game, the script loader i downloaded from nexusmods. If it doesn't work i will finish the game quickly and i will hope that my next playthrough of the mod will not get bugged

Edit: It did not work unluckily

OK so I watched that video. It looks to me like the only actual problem in it is that you haven't finished How To HQ. -_-
Finish the tutorial and THEN you can do the rest. Check what your quest log actually says.
Also use the Change Room Purpose option on each room's screen until you get some that say Living Quarters, not Room Layout or Room Upgrades.
