Primary Bug Report Mod Start - Stranger fails to show up after building, powering, and activating a Recruitment Beacon

I downloaded the mod a couple of hours ago, but I have yet to begin anything. I don't know how to get the ASAM Sensors because they're not in the spot they were originally with the first Sim Settlements (Museum of Freedom). I found a magazine on the Sanctuary workshop, so I built a recruitment beacon and waited... and nothing happened.... no stranger arrived. I waited for around 15 minutes (IRL) and there was no progression. All I want to know is how to collect the ASAM Sensors in a very specific set of instructions please.

hey i have got the same issue my solution was start a new game only with ss2 and only the required mods active ... maybe try it without smm &
start me up <=(btw i experienced this mod can causes many issues, with other mods because its play with the main quest )
after the 1st quest of the stranger i re enabled my 200+ mods and most quests are working until know

Workshop menu
-1st the menu don't appear for me (after the step below it does ...and keep there ... strange)
Stranger
-jep he don't spawn with my current loadorder (after i start a new game only with ss2 and required mod it works, after the 1st quest i re-enabled all my mods and ss2 kind of works until know^^ workshop menu too)
-i hear nothing on his radio channel

'edit' : with the new update (1.0.0.b) and the pc ss2 extended everything above works for me even with my full load-order

-the sidequest in west everet don't end
Vault-Tec Headquarter
-Magnusson's terminal in the Vault-Tec HQ is slightly off, i only can see the downside part of the terminal display
-where the f*** is the id card for the elevator ^^ i think now i know the VT-HQ better than my own room but dont find it (with esp viewer i got it)
^ 'edit' : i missed the trigger for the named Ghul last playthrogh

-in the basement of the HQ i couldn't remove the mats (after moving them around with console i could remove them) the mats are glitching a bit in the wall btw.
^ 'edit' : work well know for me maybe i was to impatient last time,after searching an hour in the basement

-in the HQ some quest-markers would be helpful or maybe some environment hints
Plots
-the building animations for settlers mostly don't work ... but the sounds do ^^ (maybe its only the bad pathfinding of fallout 4)
the coolest cat
-after the gunners dialog i want to talk with the guy with this awesome gunner armor but he only stand in front of me an do nothing, and i couldn't do anything beside ESC and reload
^ 'edit' : (disable the gunner with console to get to the Ron ;) )

i'll take a look in fo4edit to find my conflicting mods in the next days when i've more Time
maybe more helpful than this list ^^

^ 'edit' after a few hours in FO4 edit i found nothing critical ... i think most of the problems that i've before was caused by loadorder issues
with the expansion far down in my loadorder it works well


thanks for this great mod btw ... oh this voice acting and characters i love it

Thanks for compiling these.

I'm having the same issue with 'The Coolest Cat'. So far I've tried disabling all mods I know that affect the Diamond City cell as well as XDI. None of them seem to be the culprit and I eagerly await a patch or work around to get past here.

I uninstalled Fallout 4 and reinstalled it. After that, I loaded a brand new game with SS2, Workshop Framework, and HUD Framework. I went through the intro, saved Preston, grabbed the magazine, built the beacon... AND STILL NO STRANGER!!! This dude is not showing up! How are so many people getting to the quest line and I cant even get the stranger to spawn?? Someone please help!

I have before and after saving Preston picked up the magazine and powered the transmitter to still find the stranger not spawning i have watched all the tutorials and made numerous saves and removed all mods to find him not spawning

have you picked up the magazine, built and powered a generator and transmitter, then gone off and done some ... things... then returned? or are you just stood in sanctuary waiting for godot?

yeah I have picked it up and built the radio beacon been running around for hrs taking a break to eat then trying again wonder if anyone could post the Strangers ID and see if we could force spawn him ???

i think you can try and get him with xx020f21 where xx is your mod index number.
i'd try prid xx020f21 to see if you can identify him then move to him or move him to you.

Anyone in this thread with this issue, can you attach your save file? Looking for one right around the time this occured. Also, the smaller mod list the better. It may help to include a Load Order as well.

Nope just tried the past 15 mins or so and can not force spawn him nor can I target him I'm going to have to try to reinstall ss2 again there is something messed up somewhere I'm wondering if its due to mine being in steam

I got him to spawn and he was wearing a bright pink slime looking uniform... I reloaded and the deleted and re downloaded after. Then he cane up but when I go to place the plot it isn’t in the ss2 category... and he leaves and won’t talk to me. So confused

Not sure if you found it yet, but it’s on the settlement workbench in Sanctuary

Sounds like a mod conflict to me my friend.
