Missing HUD

For some reason i cant seem to get hud up when entering settlements. I have no mods that change my hud at all.

It's a good thing. If you want to turn off all Hud for screenshots. Just open console which you won't see if you did type tm already and just type it again and everything will show again.

I had the same exact problem, turning in on fixed it.
AFAIK HUDFramework works by hijacking drawing of specific UI elements, usually crosshair or compass. hiding them prevents it from working.
We got Beethoven in music, Plank in quantum physics and YOU in "save people from madness" :agree: . A fucking genius, thanks a lot, bud!

This oldman never stop learning! Thanks friend, have a beer on me!
And TM let you select what see or not, or is a generic order for all kind of Huds on screen?

General. all Hud goes away even the console

One Pale Ale coming up. I drink for free here so have one on me. Even though it is more like margaritaville here. You know Guns, firetrucks and hookers, my 3 favorite things.

Thank you so much for mentioning the crosshairs fix. I’ve spent two days like an idiot following troubleshooting guides, assigning hot keys and enabling or disabling mods. I owe you.

Hey guys,

I'm about 20 hours into my save when I started noticing that my resource panel and status meters aren't showing up at all anymore. They didn't show up at the beginning either, but after around 6 hours into the save I configured them with the hotkeys. At that point it was all well and good. I left SS2 building a bit on the wayside and did the associated quests. Now after completing Vim and Vigor, I wanted to get building again, but I don't manage to get these two panels to show at all.

UI mods I use are DefUI, FDI, VIS, Rename Anything, LooksMenu, Better Console, AAF (. But I can't imagine those are the problem, because I've been using them from the get-go and as said above, at one point in the beginning of the save the panels were visible. HOLO panels are all working still. The only mod that I installed during my playthrough that I didn't have when it worked, was place anywhere. But at most this might have conflicted with my Hotkeys, which I changed afterwards.
I checked SS2 quest variables and the hotkeys for cycling, nudging and activating/deactivating resource and status panel change the associated values. I doubt it's script lag, since I have only 4 settlements at the moment with Sanctuary being the only one that has any SS2 plots.

Does anyone have any idea what might have happened here or how I can fix this? Are they maybe nudged out of bounds so I just don't see them anymore, but technically they are still there?
I can provide more info if needed and I'm also no stranger to the console and am not afraid to use it... :D

I seem to have found the culprit:

I remembered that I have installed another mod between it working and it not working, namely see-through scopes:
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9476
I've read in another thread that it changes the targeting reticule, and thus prevents the hud to attach. I uninstalled it and went back to a clean-ish save (prior to installing 3dscopes) and lo and behold, the hud is back. My main save is gone, but at least it's progress.

This might be something that should probably be investigated further or at the very least be mentioned in the known issues section.

Edit: Just tried my main save again with saving reloading and rebinding the hotkeys and the panels are back. I'm now 95% sure that See-Through Scopes is incompatible with the HUD.

Since the HUD is indeed attached to the reticule, this seems plausible. I remember that some people could not see the HUD even with the crosshair on. I wonder if they were using STS.

I try to keep to Scopes Framework and mods that use it. A bit more lightweight.
Been a while since I have used See-through scopes.

I remember See Through Scopes caused a lot of issues with the Aiden scene in Where There's Smoke. (should that be a LOT instead? :scratchhead emphasis added...)

I haven't even put much thought into installing this, since I've been using STS forever and everything (used to) work just fine. It was definitely not among the first things I've suspected to break something so seemingly unconnected. I've been playing yesterday for several hours and the HUDs are back and work just like they are supposed to, at least as far as I can tell.
Is "Where There's Smoke" the first quest where you encounter Aiden? If so, that one worked just fine for me, prior to uninstalling STS...

IIRC, the initial "meet Aiden" scene would hang it the player has a weapon with a STS scope equipped.

I've been having the same issue, but I don't use STS. The only non SS2 suggested mods are Everyone's Best Friend and Subversion but I've had those since I started this playthrough. Anyone else seeing this problem?
