Missing HUD

For some reason i cant seem to get hud up when entering settlements. I have no mods that change my hud at all.
 
I completed chapter 1 and have it set to not autohide anything. All that comes up is the boxes on the plots themselves, but both the resources and settlement huds are not showing.

Did you set it through the holotape or using MCM? I had issues with settings in MCM not working correctly. I think the options are not setup correctly.

I think you are on to something here. I noticed that the options did not update holotape -> MCM or MCM -> holotape. One setting (can't remember which one, I think it was citizens need HUD) in the holotape had no options. I was unable to keep the citizens need HUD on full time.
 
So far in 4 play throughs (v1.0.0 - v1.0.0e), I have only had the Citizens Needs and Resource meters work in workshop mode. I am assuming this is the default setting.

Any time I try to set these meters to any option in either MCM or the Holotape, regardless of setting, these meters are gone to never reappear.

In MCM, the Citizens Needs meter only has one option. (I think it was never hide) And in the holotape there are none.

The settings do not change between MCM and the holotape. I don't know if they are pointing to different variables or something is missing.

edit: I forgot to add that if you change the setting for the plot icons, they will forever be set to always visible. Any further changes to the settings (MCM or holotape) will have any effect.

As this is not gamebreaking I assume this will be looked at when things go back to the normal patch schedule.

I am on 1.0.0f and sometimes they work fine and sometime they fail to show..

My settings are
  • Citizens Needs always ON
  • Resource meter only in workshop mode.
It worked all well in 1.0.0d! I will try going back and check... and report of course :D

EDIT:
-> Thanks to VORTEX, I could switch SS2-versions quite easy
-> Tested savegames from before my problems started
-> 1.0.0e and -> 1.0.0f gave me random crashes, missing HUD items and vanishing AR icons
-> I will stay on 1.0.0d for now, since it "only" blocks progressing to commercial plots but otherwise works fine

I still have not handed the completed in "Vim and Vigor" quest on this play
Will wait until next patch to see if it fixes progression to commercial plots

Please be patient with us ,we have a lot to get through. We may not reply to every comment but we do read them :) Kinggath is working like a demon to get everything sorted :)
Ok, I was just curious and making sure. I understand that Kinggath and you all have the fires of hell under you.

I can say that I have been playing through each hot fix and the main quest up to new plots on the block have played out just fine. I'm thinking most of what you are fighting is mod conflicts. Most of my issues would be the glitchy engine.
 
For some reason i also have issues with patches post Version D, but those infobars that are supposed to show up requires hudframework if i am not mistaken.
For me they initialize and show up and then fade before loading data and never come back.
I had the same issue in SS1 and it was caused by some funkyness in the loadorder
 
I am having Hud issues as well after the update to 1.0f. My Hud never showed unless I was in workshop mode, which is fine, but now it will only show up in Sanctuary if I fly through a plot, and it never shows up in Red Rocket or Abernathy.

Loaded a save right after exiting the vault and the Hud seems to work like normal so not sure if its a save file issue.
 
Did you make the changes to settings through MCM or the holotape? I suspect the MCM settings don't work correctly, while setting them through the holotape does.
Well the only thing I did was update to the latest versions, I guess that would reset it all to baseline, I will try and reset them using the Holotape and see what happens, but not working at all in Red Rocket or Abernathy and sort of working in Sanctuary makes me think something is borked someplace.
