Missing HUD

For some reason i cant seem to get hud up when entering settlements. I have no mods that change my hud at all.

Ok, probably final update. So I created a completely new profile in Vortex for mods. Installed only the bare minimum mods needed for SS2, Workshop Framework, HUD Framework, Scrap Everything, Place Anywhere, Workshop Plus and Start Me Up to skip all intro crap. Started at Red Rocket, scrapped some minor things and did the quests up until the conclusion of "If I had a Hammer" without any skipping. Activated the holotape and left everything at their defaults.
No SS2 HUD at all. None, not even a hint of the HUD. I tried then to go into MCM and set hotkeys for the HUD, no HUD at all.
One note, I use Canary to monitor my save file and at the very first I landed in the game it said there was an issue loading SS2 and that Resurrection was ongoing. I assume this is simply because the mod doesn't actually load until one starts the quest right?
At this point I am not so sure anymore that a HUD mod is the issue since I have absolutely no HUD mods installed, hell I don't even have pip boy mods installed. Well back to my original save then and simply learn to live without the SS2 HUD sadly.

I never got the panels in the first versions of SS2, at least no more than the "one-blink-and-never-return panel" when I enter in a settlement. After uninstall Valdacil's Item Sorting and install the "m" beta version I finally see de damns panels. Then I install de last two versions of SS2 (oficial and patch) then I only got the panels if I stay out of workbench. IF I want a fresh panels, fast travel is needed, preferably to a different settlement.
Uninstall Def UI only make impossible to see te panels, even with the use of the hotkeys, panels not appear

I started a new game last weekend, and so far, I have a HUD. I have been afraid to even look at the settings, in case that buggers it. With the way SS2 plots require food, power, water and defense, the HUD is critical. I'm hoping it stays. So far, the only buggy bit was in the Hub of the Problem quest, but I got it sorted by loading a manual save just outside the building a few times.
Sounds like you suffered from the issue I had on v1.0.0a. I was playing around with the holotape settings and the holo stuck on, the 2 HUD menus were off and nothing was able to be changed. Then I watched Raybo's vid and setup the hotkeys, Now the HUD meters show up when I tell them to. I actually like it better that way.

I have the same problem: "one-blink-and-never-return panel".
I can "fix it" by not loading a custom DEF UI preset, but my screen is filled with the "no XML file" message.

After much work and testing with different mods or even no mods at all I kinda got the SS2 HUD to work. It seems the HUD was always loading but the actual vanilla workshop mod has a different screen "size" sort of speak so if I move the SS2 HUD for example too much to the right it would disappear, I think basically it's kinda scaling the monitor screen to say a 75% of the actual resolution.
So for those that have issues, try to assign hotkeys to move the HUD and just keep spamming one direction (left or right) and you might get it to show. If I do change the report detail via hotkeys it flickers and moves to the center for a bit then moves back to the position I had it set at. It's a fix for sure but I have no idea if it'll help on a new game.

Yesterday I fix it (almost) reinstalling the HUDFramework mod, the DEF_UI compatiblity patch and DEF_UI...as before, the panels blink and go, but show up with hotkeys, and as usual, not return after the workshop mode.

I still got the issue with the 1.0.3. The hud go forever after you open the workshop. Need travel and come back to open again with hotkeys. The corious thing is, that damn "Houdini's resources hud" is not seem to be crucial in my game due I like the more automatic settlement I can get. A pain in the ass If someone ask me.

yeah i had the HUD issue in SS1 too.
So i am starting to wonder if the problem is hudframework being overloaded.
last time it was updated was in 2017 so i have a gut feeling that something in it has broken with the current game versions.

They are not going to update a framework unless it needs it. 90% of the HUD problems are script lag. Personal testing has proved this time and again. Stuff don't work, so I go do something else for a while (I actually physically leave the computer) I the come back some time later (like after having lunch) and things work fine again. With all the scripts and black magic running in the background, we should all be bowing to Kinggath in awe that it works at all!

that is true however it has to be said that the biggest script consuming mod out there is Simsettlements.
This is why i wonder if there are any methods to fix the scriptlag beyond Baka which is for some reason not enough to get the hud working

I think the only thing that would fix script lag is an engine overhaul... IIRC Baka and Buffout only address the script data limit.

It would only be Papyrus that needs to be fixed, that thing was written nearly 20 years ago and it is still ticking.
just that its not ticking fast enough anymore.
And it has been in the Intensive care unit on life support for the last 10...

Time to drag this thread back from the dead but I havent even seen the HUD yet. I don't have any other mods that mess with the HUD or UI, I tried setting hotkeys with MCM, I've tried a clean install of SS2 and HUDFramework and Workshop Framework and I've have had no luck.
