[109a] Incorrect Commercial assignments/inventory

I'm having a wierd issue that I think I've seen others mention in the past, but want to make sure.
By which I mean, in my current save which was started on version 1.0.9 (actually 1.0.9a, as charactername implies), I have Lily assigned at a Bar, and she's giving her correct "vendor bark" dialog lines, but she's got the "vendor only sells their personal inventory and not the store's" glitch going on. In that same settlement, Alex Powell is assigned at a Martial plot, but he ALSO has what I think are "vendor bark" lines, and talking to him has him offer the dialog option to Barter too (and HE has a full stock of food).

Is this sort of thing still happening to anyone else?

(side note: is the Vit-O-Matic that hard to actually aim with when used in 'ranged mode' for everyone, or am I just awful with it?)

Interesting so basically assuming this all gets fixed it could make the settlers
1 go to their assigned jobs
2 not wander around as much
Just assuming it fixes the vendor stuff is already good but if it could help with that as well would make the settlements work a lot better in my view.
That's the plan.

There are a group of top men working on this.... top men. No only playing but there are a few of us digging a lot deeper to find more answers to it all.

Everyone still working from home.

So it sounds like, for the moment, as long as we only build commercial building plans from the base mod, we won't have any vendor bugs.
That's not what I was saying at all. In regard to part 2 of that statement. It has nothing to do with actual vendors 1 and 2 build away. It could happen from anything NOT JUST VENDORS!!

Ok I'm totally sold. Time to give the "men" in minutemen some meaning. If they had half the balls and audacity of their general(s), BoS would try to nuke them by now.

was a fix ever found for this? even a temporary or console command fix?
Some things were changed 'behind the scenes' to try to alleviate it, but I can't say for sure whether that 100% fixed it. It was some weird issue to do with certain 'furniture' items like chairs etc making any settler that mechanically 'looked' at it to use it get the Vendor Dialog, and as far as I know that all got dug back through and fixed.

thanks, I am still getting it on version 2.13b but I am also using a wabbajack modlist so it might be the culprit

Interesting. I will do some looking into it.
I have wondered if this is another thing we can chalk up to issues with the vanilla assignment function. It seems to happen much less than it used to, but still from time to time you get some weirdness there. Usually when that happens I will have two of my vendors change places and it will fix itself after they get comfy in their new shop. Can always change them back again if you really wanted them assigned where they were (I do think Lily's vendor barks for Bars, for instance, are the best).

Yeah her bar lines about the bathrooms are great same for the food and drinks.

A good point, I suspect that like the "randomly dropping an assignment" thing, it might be a compound of a base-game issue that always existed but only SS2 is pushing the game hard enough to even trigger.

(and personally I prefer Julie Powell's "Bar" "vendor barks". "Don't spill it! It'll melt through the floor!")

I'm running 2.3.1a, which seems to be the latest version (even though Mod Organizer has the entry flagged as "old"). I just unlocked the four new plot types, and right off the bat, my vanilla settler bartender thinks he's selling armor and has only five pieces of leather armor to offer. Not using a city plan in that location (Sanctuary), and no add-ons that offer additional plot types. Right now, I only have the bar and clinic built. The settler was spawned in and assigned immediately. I'm hoping to find Ron wandering around and then assign him, but I don't want him to sell armor.
I read through the entire thread. Any new info on this?

Their inventory should expand when the plot levels up, is that not happening?
As for wrong inventory, not sure, this been around for so long I was sure it's either long fixed or incurable and terminal. But reassigning them manually or giving them some time might help? Or changing the building plan/refreshing it. Or all of that. But mostly giving it time. (also if the plot is operational and you're interacting during business hours)
