A Tier 4 vendor (which the vault-tec guy is) will have an expanded inventory when assigned to a level 3 vendor stall (which the ones on plots are).

Oops, I may dropped him by the bridge to be carried by the current, like I do all dead people and creatures at Sanctuary. :D

What's weird, though, is that I couldn't assign him to anything. When he was alive, he just sat where the Power Armor rack originally was.

Check his wiki entry, like all things Bethesda, emergent behavior causes shenanigans.

If you do the dance right, it'll make him assignable, at which point, free L4 vendor that can be placed on any L3 general store plot and provide the L4 vendor list.

Thank you, that's good to know. I may try to ressurect him .... but I really found him annoying, lol. :D

I have a bunch of synths visiting oberland station (all the time) with x6-88 as leader and they seem to hate the chickens. I fired x6-88 and sent him to the mechanist lair where I only send bots. Maybe the synths will go with him.

That's part of the Leader Perks.
The synths patrols having squabbles with the chickens is a bug.
