Fixed Which Visitors are broken?

I have had ranch hands, scavengers, and tanners attack random stuff. In my case it has almost always been brahmin. And every time I have an issue, it is a female ghoul. They have different hair, different clothes, different names, but always a female ghoul. I *think* they are the same model/appearance besides hair, but cant 100% confirm that from memory.

@InvertedSheep Grab Better Console so you can see the baseID, Factions, raceID yada yada.
It's also handy for tracking down runaway companions. ;)
BTW... The only thing in this settlement was 3 other scavers & she was shooting at them.

Ummmm....

By the way, I've turned Visitors OFF to try to prevent this. As in I turned this off a few days ago. So why, when I roll into Starlight tonight, do I see her there?

At least she's not shooting at anyone this time. But the setting is definitely OFF.

Ok. Toggled visitors back on, fast travelled to another settlement, turned it back off and came back to Starlight. She's gone this time.

I have a female ghoul visitor that is a tanner that started attacking a dog named scratch and brahmin of supply routes i believe she looks like these other ghouls as well. Edit : her console ID is (ff060985)[PP]
it makes you wonder if mayor Mcdonut was right in ejecting all ghouls from diamond city XD

I have a weird one. I fast traveled to Tenpines (ROTC City) and my turrets and settlers opened fire on Lucas Miller's guards. I traded with Lucas and the shooting stopped.

I guess that if your visitor's base ID starts with 0A then this npcs were created by SS, and aren't just vanilla game npcs being spawned with changed parameters, so it seems my hypothesis of it being a quest related flag problem is definitely out of the picture.
But at least now we know what is the exact base npc that is screwing the visitor system, it shouldn't be to hard for kinggath to take a look at it. And if everything else fails, he can just get rid of the npc.

The A0 is load order..
the important part is xxxxE438
But yeah.. it's always the female ghoul... no matter the version, tanner, scavenger, etc..

I've had similar happen. I "think" it's when the problem ghoul is in the settlement just long enough to trigger the attack, then is removed. (could be wrong)
Because if the attack is triggered, turrets, companions etc. will continue the fight even if the ghoul is killed or scrapped. Talking with or shooting them (once is enough) will get them to stop.
You can also toggle detection "tdetect" before entering a settlement, find the ghoul and kill/scrap her. Player proximity is what triggers stuff.

At Sanctuary, a female ghoul "Scavenger" has attacked Carla multiple times.

At Red Rocket, I had a small attack turn into a city-wide skirmish when several of my settlers joined in on an attack led by a female ghoul "Scavenger" and a human male "Farmer," against the cats from the "Crazy Cat Person VIP." Seeing as they are immortal, I think the cats won. My settlers eventually ran out of ammo.

I got one at Abernathy that shows up every single visit and likes to pick on Clairabell. I made her immortal, so she just ignores the attack and keeps eating. Piper thought it would be a good idea to help.. Removed has has leader, striped her of all weapons & armor and slapped her arse in a Pillory.

I hadnt played for about a week when I loaded up last nite and Sanctuary was like Tombstone, people were shooting everywhere :P I was getting upset cause I just wanted to build a bit but I had to keep running around thinking it was raiders, so I shot any named npc's causing probs (hope that wont cause me any probs down the road).

The Scavenger is always involved. The Tanner, Mr Gutsy (the human one), Jonah Hex and Robert Ross are the ones who got 'judged' last nite. The girl in the red sequin dress always fights with Ada, not sure who instigates. Ill go back and check ID's on corpses for more info.

Btw am I the only one that gets creeped out by the robot voice coming from the human Mr Gutsy?

EDIT- I reloaded a save just before the massacre at sanctuary and it may have just been the Tanner who caused all the problems. One thing was interesting, Tanner attacks Robert Ross and then a guard dog aggros on Ross rather than tanner, Jonah maybe just got caught up in crossfire but I didnt see him in the reloads. Mr Gutsy and the girl in the red dress were aggroing Ada but gutsy hasnt reappeared after being shot.

TLDR- The Tanner and Scavenger are the only ones I can definately point to, but Mr Gutsy and the girl in the red sequin dress aggro on Ada.

It is the Brahman that trigger these attacks. If a Brahman bumps into certain NPC's or settlers they react by attacking the Brahman which starts a fight between those allied to the settlement and those that are not. The prime example of this in the vanilla game is Carla and Mama Murphy. If Carla's Brahman bumps into Mama Murphy she attacks the Brahman and in turn Carla responds with a counter attack and it snowballs into Dogmeat joining in along with any settlers allied to that settlement. It is a game engine bug that I have tried to solve and gave up.

I can confirm that Visitors hate animals. Some dudes reported that they attack cats too. Cats, dogs, normal brahmins, Suppliers brahmins, etc. People are so far safe, and don't care the slightest.

My Castle settlement is a incubator of Visitors, like seriously, there's like 6/8 people there, and all are calm and nice. No animals in the vicinity.

For me, it was the cat at Abernathy's. I'm also using DiverseCats, maybe there is a conflict here?
