Alright, I actually found a solution for the problem and it's, let's say, unorthodox and only for pc as it requires console commands so bear with me.
Note, Caps is required for capped letters
In the console, you want to write "CompleteQuest SS2_Sirik_MQ11"
After that you need to write "SetStage SS2_Sirick_MQ12 5"
This will start the next quest.
Note, You should get a Quest completed notification
Don't be frightened. The quest is "already completed" after the conversation between Jack and Aiden. I tried to progress with another command but it wouldn't let me so that makes me assume it's completed, will also be explained why later.
For those interested, I got the quest name by writing "sqt" and then used the quest name to find out the quest stage with "sqo (Quest name)".
This will display the quest objectives with their respective numbers. So the "5" after SS2_Sirick_MQ12 tells the game that I want to start the first objective. You might also have noticed the difference between MQ11 and MQ12. MQ stands for "Main Quest" and the number is the main quest number (duh)
I could see that there wasn't no further stage of "Where there's smoke" as the current objective was set to 60, and there wasn't a objective 70 in the "sto".
