Solved ("What is the command?") Don't do Creationclub kids

I have an existing save I made to use the prebuild on after doing testing first but then realized that I can only do so on startup. Does anyone know the command for it? I saw it mentioned. It would be great to not have to start yet another save. A bat file would be especially appreciated if it's particularly long.

Not sure wise to try and force conqueror after you exit the vault - perhaps if you were inside home plate... wiser can answer this specifically...

Me? In general, no way.... sorry, gotta have good results... before exiting...

If you don't want to wait, try these:

I kinda had no choice, sadly. I have a bunch of creation club stuff I had to fix prior because they were causing the minutemen and main questlines to break and I -thought- it was a conflict between conqueror and StartMeUp, so I had to start a new save from scratch without them turned on. After resolving the issue (it's the Tunnel Snake creation that causes issues btw, no clue why) and starting yet another save, I'm really not wanting to repeat the whole process. I saw that mod, too, and I appreciate it. I'm just hoping I can get the command to force the pre-build since I know it's out there somewhere. Everything else is in place.

Many of the CC is game breaking... I am sure others can be more specific - such as Tunnel Snakes I think.

I delete all my CC from my data folder when I do a new install. Too much time has been spent making my game stable and CTD free... and that is one thing I have eliminated.

"There is"

Please don't talk down to me. I fixed the creation club issues. As in post. I deleted most of them. I followed suggestions from others already on this issue and found the offending creations. I'm far from incompetent on these issues. My game is stable and runs smoothly. And I have other people save your community I can go to to resolve issues with other mods. But this particular thing is something I must come to your forums for because there's no way I can find out otherwise. I don't require your expertise, I need what is essentially a command that only the people working on this know. Let me fix or enable my own problems. I'm really not asking for much, so why make this so difficult?

I think @MrCJohn is one of the most helpful, friendly, and downright nicest guys in this community.

Just sayin'

I certainly wasnt trying to talk down to you nor anyone. I just simply dont think your pursuit is the right one.

@Phil_T_Casual said there isnt one and you pull up a quote with no source contradicting what he said, but the rest of the advice is sound. You will break your game.

I suggest you drop @kinggath a mail requesting this.

John

Even kinggath has said that forcing the script to start is a bad idea.

The people here always try to help move your game forward with hopefully less problems than you started with. If their advise is to "not" give you the shortcut you are asking for, then I'm quite positive they are doing so with the best intentions.

Alriiight alright jeez. Why is it that this would presumably corrupt a save anyway, even if all the mods are in the right spots? Oh, and I will mark this as answered. If this many people are telling me that it's just going to break things I realize I should probably take the hint, though I am still curious. Plus it would be good to have specific reasons not to for anyone else looking through this thread. (Now just to figure out why my teamsters in Tropico 6 are useless :P)

Funny you ran into this - I too ran into this in attempting to start my latest character, and I recently installed every single piece of CC content that has quests. So I revealed the console command there as I know a lot of people run into the issue (will be in Thursday's Let's Play video).

Shortly thereafter, off-camera, my game began to crash. Lending some more evidence against using the console command to force the startup wizard.

On a whim, I decided to disable Beantown Interiors, as I know it uses an antiquated method to inject its menus which results in permanent papyrus loops in your save - which is just bad practice. I then started another new character and the startup wizard worked.

No guarantee Beantown was the problem, as it may have just been a fluke the issue occurred at all.

If you are going to use the console command "cqf kgconq_cityplanstarter preparetorunwizard", I would only do it before you exit the Vault and make sure it completes the construction phases before you exit.

If you see crashes during or shortly after, I'd roll a new game with some mods disabled as it's very likely whatever prevented the startup from occurring naturally is also the cause of your crashing.

That save can be thrown away at this point anyway so I'll give it a shot~. Thanks King! If I run into issues I think might be a result of that I will post them here so the consequences can be better understood. I use MO2 and I can make fresh installations quickly so it's less of a massive pain to start from scratch if it corrupts the game itself, but I highly doubt that it will. MO2, btw, absolute golden manager, especially for making different profiles for different saves. Also, I kind of did venture outside the vault my first save when I had all the CC stuff during the prebuild. I did experience crashes but I think it was mainly just my computer being overloaded with the whole process because there were none further once the prebuild completed. (Honestly, getting to test this process out under different conditions sounds a little fun, see what breaks and what is fine, what to do and not to do).

I can tell you factually that the Tunnel Snakes CC breaks many early quests, though, and more than a few have issues besides. I don't highly suggest rolling with many of them. I still have a select few despite my better judgement. Just make sure you take caution using them and save often. The new area ones like the CW and workshop simulation I saw might even be able to corrupt saves. Some errors you might think are caused by a mod sometimes might be CC even if they don't seem to touch anything related to the areas they're in, so you might have to research them. The safest ones probably are skin related, which I think many of the weapon skins look really nice and give a lot more personality to a customized vanilla weapon, and even then don't take my word for it. Make sure you look up the issues you're experiencing even if you think you know the answer.
