This isn't an entirely serious question but, with the number of people saying in the Nexus comments that nothing happens when they drop an ASAM sensor after Jake tells them to place it on the ground in the first quest, do you think you'll ever rewrite that line? :grin

Not that I think you should, but I do find it funny that a number of people took that line literally. Maybe if the player does actually drop the sensor, Jake could respond with "no, not like that", etc.

To be fair though, the scrap scanner version of the ASAM is supposed to be dropped so they are doing it correctly but too early in the game.

Now you got me wondering if there's a tribe out in the wastes worshipping RobCo Rob as their guiding god of creation.
"Turn away from the GECK heretics! Holy Rob spoke to us through the sensors. Only ASAMs can offer the versatility and stability we crave. If it's not RobCo, it's gotta go!"
That one time when your Logistics guys slightly misinterpreted the ASAM MISSIONARY Mission objectives aaaaand things got out of hand a bit.

Could be a holy war of RobCo Rob and Sickle's followers. Kinda like Antagonizer and Mechanist. Stupid bleeders have bad ears!

A little more seriously, will the story ever deal with satellites in any way? And will certain stringpullers have anything to do with a Certain Organization which is rumored to still be around?

I think we might actually have a line recorded for Jake to cover that, it just never got implemented.

Will the player faction be called 'Faction Without A Cool Acronym'?
I guess that would be up to the Sole Survivor!

Sounds like someone has been paying attention... Let's just say the clues are there in Chapters 1 and 2.

As long as we don't suddenly have to go to HELIOS ONE (No Not That One) up in orbit and take part in two hours worth of "homages" to Wolfenstein New Order and Dead Space.

I wouldn't mind that at all. But I guess Nuka-world would become a requirement, we'd need those spacesuits manufactured on a global scale. Also, Zeta Settlements!
(or you know, Sim Starfield before Starfield, that also works)

That hadn't occurred to me! But now that you mention it... :scratchhead

I was thinking more of using the satellites, with all these satellite stations scattered around. I'd been meaning to bring up the radio towers, but Sirick beat me to it in Ch 2, so I thought I'd mention it before Ch 3 was getting done. Looks like I'm late to the party again...

If Ch 3 really is the last chapter in the saga, for now, I hope we have an even longer adventure ahead of us. And in time, maybe a Chapter 4, or dare I say it... Sim Settlements 3! :grin

Hey Sirick! (Sorry if these have been answered elsewhere...I'm brand new to the community, so to speak.)
  1. What's your favorite Perk Check dialogue?
  2. Was romancing Jake always part of the plan, or was it suggested later in development after the thirst tweets started?
  3. How would/does Aiden react to MacCready being a former Gunner, especially if he's brought to HQ?

Hey Sirick,

Finally have something to ask ya :D Anything being done with the Nuka World and Far Harbour spaces so they're not as abandoned after you're done with them? They could be staging points for gunners or strategic retreat points i.e. Taiwan as to China historically. Other than Secret of Huntress Manor, I haven't seen any community DLC that really reuses those worldspaces.

Only reason I'm considering wiping out the raiders in Nuka World is because their story largely ends but I would also like to see more done with them as much as SS2 is the real "endgame" to FO4. Maybe this is something that could be done with the actors' union money I saw you're raising on Patreon to get back some of the DLC actors.

Allow me to start by saying welcome!

1. My favorite Perk Check? The Mysterious Stranger one with dealing with Berman (when the scene plays out as it should...)

2. Romancing Jake, that was something that was both on the cards from the start AND due to player reaction. When writing Jake, I made sure to put the hooks and setup for a romance, but if whether or not I fully implemented it rested on how players reacted to Jake when playing Chapter 1. Players reacted well to Jake, and so in Chapter 2 to romance officially begun!

3. You can see for yourself! Bring MacCready with you when you visit 'The Ron' after Jake has been kidnapped. Aiden will notice something...
Besides that, I think Aiden would be cool with MacCready (since he left the group after disagreeing with how they did things), but would still not fully trust him.

Hello!

We won't be touching anything in the Nuka World or Far Harbour DLC, since that would mean forcing players to have both those (and it would also cause complications when it comes to the main mod). However, there are some nods to the locations and some lines certain NPC's will sometimes say if you interact with those world spaces.

We may touch a little more on those two DLCs in the future, but I would not hold your breath.
