So I started a new save, new mod list, everything. I downloaded sim settlements 2, chapter 2 and chapter 3.
Immediately start building settlement stuff. I build a beacon, power, turrets and thats about it.
I start like normal, I go to concord, in a store I find boxes of ASAM sensors so I take them. Get to preston, kill the deathclaw, go back to sanctuary. Then I start building the settlement
at this point I think "Stranger" shows up and he tells me to build a plot. I build it, he tells me to watch him build it, he builds it and then it's done. I continue playing the game for 10 hours and now I am starting to wonder "How do I progress this quest?"
Any attempts to talk to him just gives me a blank dialogue. like his npc just says something but I don't have the option to engage in dialogue.
So I figure I must have not installed the proper packs
I search and I find I have not gotten extended edition. I find the download, only to realize it's called "Chapter 3" but includes everything. I may have already had this installed, alongside SS2 and CHapter 2.
So I Reinstall the new complete version, disable the other ones. But nothing has changed. He is still wandering around, I am unable to assign him anything, he isn't even assigned to the plot that he originally created. I still have the "Laying foundations" quest started but it hasn't changed and doesn't lead me anywhere.
So how can I progress the quest? How can I reset him/spawn him in? How do I build more than just residential plots and how do I start the actual SS2 quests? I really don't want to start a new save, because then I just will not want to play fallout 4 anymore because I like being attached to what I created so far. Any and all help will be appreciated, thank you.
EDIT: I tried to relocate him to another town, didnt work. Relocate him back and forth after removing the signal beacon, then I placed it back, nothing changed. When I destroy the original plot he was working on, trying to use the little console sensor on the plot says "You can not do this during this portion of the quest". Also some other guy has been living in the plot since Stranger made it, and moving him out does nothing. Idk if I did some weird thing that messed up the quest or what.
