(SPOILER ALERT) Microfusion Garage Mission Questions

Okay so I have searched the Chinese Nuclear Submarine top to bottom for drained warhead cores and I have only been able to find three. The research questline for the Microfusion Garage refuses to continue even after I plug these three in successfully. I am unable to find more than just these three. HELP!?

I've only managed to find 2: one on the bottom floor roughly below the entrance (3 flights of stairs down in a small closet next to a barrel), the other on the bottom floor in the room after the reactor on top of a white machine. If you or anybody else knows where the other 2 cores are, I could make a video showing their locations.

I managed to circumvent the annoying scavenger hunt by adding the necessary cores via the console and then doing `setstage xx005d2c 45`, but I'd still like to find the items legitimately.

I've just hit this problem too. I've spent ages going around the sub (well into double figures for lapping the thing) and can only find three. I even went around it a few times with collision toggled off. Is there a spoiler list anywhere to put me out of my misery?

Had one last look and yeah I found number 4. With hindsight I should have noted exactly where I found them.
1 is under water in one of the two really small rooms that are down a sets of stairs from the reactor control room. I think two were laying on machinery in the missile room. And the last one was propped at the side of a desk in a nearby room.

Hi there, NDCowdy, love your RR artillery town plan. Could you specify where you found the fourth core [i.e. at the side of a desk in a nearby room]. I've done numerous playthroughs and I've only ever found three. In seriatim
1. 1 in the really small room at the side of control room [where captain Zao fiddles with a terminal]
2. 2 in the missile storage room where you retrieve the objective for the quest on the ship

I just spent an hour today combing through the sub, turned off all interior mods (I use Enhanced Light FX's), and set my brightness to max, to no avail. I'm about to open SS 3-in-1 in xEdit to see where the mod edited the interior cell to get some clue, because I can only suspect the last core has clipped underground because of a mod conflict. Looking forward to your input.

2 in the missile storage room where you retrieve the objective for the quest on the ship

It's up on top of a locker/cabinet in this same room. Took me forever a few days to find this one. If you stand looking at where you retrieve the warhead, turn to the left. It should be midway along the wall you are now looking at. It's up high, not on the floor.

I read your post wrong, sorry. You found the two in the warhead room.

My recollection is that there is one in another room just like this one but on the other/opposite side of the control room.

And a curious observation: The one in the room on the left side of the control room seems to move around. When I went back into the room after taking the above pic, it was no longer between the barrel and the desk.

Thanks Bullyrook, it took me so long to find my forth (the one under water) that I was really struggling to remember where the third was. Could only remember it being propped up as in your 2nd pic.

Happy to help. I just did this quest again the other day. There's always one that takes for ever to find. Every darn time.

Hi there bullyrook! Thanks for all the input. Unfortunately, I think the 4th one probably clipped underground for me, that's why I've never found it. I think a conflicting mod might have caused this (I suspect but don't actually consider ELFX) because searching that entire area (even with no clipping just to see through the water) just doesnt yield it. In any case, a few console commands (which I do for all playthroughs) advances the quest as normal. Just a bit frustrated that I can't find it after hours of searching.
