Duplicates Recently Upgraded Croup Manner crash (repeatable)

I'll keep my fingers crossed that it'll start behaving. Just don't forget to turn tai back on after sitting in the settlement for a bit so the scripts can catch back up.
 
wait what is tai? i havent had time to sit down and do anything yet but ill be able to in a bit
 
toggle ai, it shuts off new scripts starting while it's toggled off.
 
im able to get in with and without tai toggeled but it crashes to desktop shortly after i get in
 
can you get a settlement nuke off after you get in but before it crashes? Maybe you're bouncing off an upper limit on settlement complexity so scrapping makes the most sense until KG gets through another optimization pass.
 
Im not sure how to nuke it.

I've just been staying away from the problem settlements for now and just letting them upgrade on their own. Sucks because i really like seeing all the progress of a settlement, but it doesnt seem possible to get it working rn

Now i think Oberland Station is the newest addition to the problem child list of settlements for me. Really sucks because i enjoyed how that particular settlement was progressing.

Its just strange because i can even fast travel to Finch Farm and Hangmans Ally (both level 3) and even Jamaica Plains and Murkwater (level 3 as well). I have been walking to and fro from abernathy farms and greygarden with no issues. Not sure why its just the castle, croup manor, nordhagen and apparantly oberland now. Its just weird that most of the settlements are fine (a few crashes when approaching here and there but thats it).

Town Meeting Gavel, craft one at any city planner's workbench and hotkey it. Save. Go to the problem settlement and quickly hit the hotkey and nuke everything.

I've been thinking about the issues you're seeing a bit, do you have any ENBs or texture enhancers loaded? If so, could you try disabling them and see if the settlements let you in?

The theory is that if NMM managed to derp something up there, SS could be refreshed all day long and as soon as you got near something that used the texture override, CTD.

I do use vivid fallout i think, i downloaded it so long ago i cant even remember.
 
This is the texture mod i believe? I have to go and check

More importantly, can you disable it and see if your settlements take longer to crash?
 
I run reshade and i run vivid fallout which is a texture mod. I had disabled it im pretty sure when we did the initial testing and i disabled all my plugins (i think)

I forgot to ask, did you just want me to put up a save file as well? idk maybe you guys can see something i cant (because i have no idea what id be looking for anyways)

Just confirmed it another 5 times that Oberland Station is doing the same thing now. After it upgraded to level 2 and level 3.

PM me a link to your save and I'll load it up later this evening when I get some time and take a look. Couldn't hurt to see what my load order does to it :)
 
Oh i had another question i forgot to ask earlier when we were talking about problematic mods for sim settlements. I do have welcome to goodneighbor installed (i just forgot about it) but its not the most recent version. If i uninstall it, will it affect any of the leaders of the settlements if i installed the addon for more vanilla leaders? I just cant remember if we get any companions from goodneighbor or not
 
Just for reference: i found out that Sommerville Place has an issue as well. I crash to desktop on the upgrade cinematic from 0-1. Everything is fine until it starts upgrade then the game shuts down. Same with fast travel, at level 0 its fine but as soon as the upgrade gets to 1 it CTDs.
