Patch 3.1.6 - Performance 101

damn this nmm is the cause of 80% of the report of "bug" xD guy you really need to install by hand is 100% safer :D but for real maybe try to install manually for now if nmm dont do it right before the problem is solved.

Mod Organizer 2.1.1 works well with Sim Settlements. Isolated mod folders make it impossible for manager to fail with script installation or updates.

I haven't tested Vortex with Sim Settlements yet, but it's virtualization system has similarities with MO. Vortex is still in open alpha and rough from edges, but it is also something to consider, if problems with NMM are starting to cause problems.

I'm not claiming "Bug" I'm just saying when I look at the mods in NMM this is what i'm seeing. There are many people who still use NMM until the next version is ready for beta on Nexus, and Nexus is one of the main places people go for their mods. I rarely have problems with NMM normally it's with some kind of invisible unknown mod conflict. And until we've got a mod manager program that also is good at reporting and helping alleviate mod conflicts we're all stuck with what we think is best. <shrug>

i wasn't talking about you but when you see most of the best mods on nexus you see many peope that have problem cause nmm failled the install. i was just saying that :D

I never used the upgrade option with NMM. I uninstall the old mod first and then install the new one.

Yea may be one of the reasons I don't have problems with it either. I never tell it to upgrade a mod. I download the new one, uninstall the old one then install the new one. :D

This is exactly is why it works.

The upgrade code in NMM is buggy. Don't bother with it.

I've seen a few one-off issues with Mod Organizer having hints of similar problems but nothing like how badly NMM screws up games.

In what way? I haven't seen similar issues.

I am asking, because I am doing testing for MO2 devs. If you have something that could help us to make MO2 more stable, then I it would be fine to PM for me. I will pass it forward. :hi

All good, it was two instances where the users were attempting a mod update via Mod Organizer to a manual install so I'm inclined to think it was more self-inflicted than anything MO was doing incorrectly.

Running on XBOX ONE and everything was fine until the patch update. I updated SS and Industrial City add on. Can't load any saves. Just get the load screen although it isn't frozen...just loads. Any idea?

I would try doing a hard restart of your xbox. The mod shouldn't be able to prevent your saves from loading.

If that doesn't work - I'd next try starting a new game to make sure there's not something else preventing getting past the loading screen. If that works, then try unchecking everything related to Sim Settlements to see if you can load your save. If yes, don't save over, just recheck in it all and try once more.

Hard reset didn't work. I unchecked Industrial Cities Add On (which was also updated) and when I confirmed to load the game with the missing mod I crashed out to the Home Screen. Tried this twice with the same result. Hard reset after the crash. Same result. Rechecked the Add On and attempted to load the latest save game. No longer have the loading screen...now it just crashes. Thinking the save is corrupt now.

Started a new game, new character. Saved, exited, reloaded...all worked fine.

Attempted to load a save prior to the last most recent on the previous character. Load screen working, images spinning and quotes rotating, loaded fine. Only lost about 20 minutes of play. Thanks Kinggath!
