Primary Bug Report New Plots on the Block - Quest fails to advance after building plots

I've reloaded my save from before Jake comes into town, but once i finish all 3 plots he just stops talking or doing anything. I've left of on the martial plot each time.

I loaded a save from before jake goes to Sanctuary, he gives you the option of just skipping the explanation and that skips the plot building, which worked for me to get past the quest.

Loving the mod so far but ran into an issue with the Quest "New Plots on the Block"

After building a Commercial, Martial and recreational plot the quest doesn't advance. When talking to Jake just goes to a trade menu.
I have tried building plots in this order to no luck
  • Commercial, Martial, Recreational
  • Martial, Recreational, Commercial
  • Recreational, Commercial, Martial
Even tried from a earlier save before the quest started.
Load order is fairly small with 8 mods loaded as shown in the image attached. If required can upload Saves.

I was stuck on this for a while. If you have a save before you start that quest, load it and tell Jake you dont need help and you'll be able to skip that part and move on to the next quest.

I was doing the quest as normal and because I was planning my settlement I didn't want the commercial plot yet so I got rid of it. After that I built the last plot I needed which was the recreational plot, and now Jake won't do anything I even changed the plot type got rid of it put it back down and he still wont do anything. Does anyone know how to fix this?
 
In my questlog i'm on "New Plots on the Block". The quest says I should build commercial and martial plots, but I'm past that. Jake already had me building Municipal plots and this is where its stuck. He's done building, and Jake just follows me around and only wants to trade now. Is my questline bugged / out of sync?

I was stuck earlier too, after I had built a bunch of Commercial, Recreational and Martial plots and after hours of trying to get the quest un-stuck at this point, it continued. I think disabling the unoficial fallout patch fixed it I'm afraid one of the following things broke it for me:
  • using "setstage ss2_sirick_mq10 200" at the wrong point in time (it was suggested as a fix in earlier topics)
  • building Municipal plot before I was supposed to, then trying to scrap it but the sensor is still there. Now I have a sensor which seems to be tied to the quest but its not usable ("disabled during this part of the tutorial"). Later, jake then introduced me to Municipal plots and helped me build another after which nothing happened, and the original bugged one is still there.
Any suggestions?
 
Are you using version 1.0.0d? its possible that the console command may have done something bad, but before that try this. Update to 1.0.0d. If you can load a save just before you started building plots for this quest. Go into your settelment and just stand there for awhile letting all plots upgrade. Then try building them in the order Jake asks for them.

Sadly, I dont have a safe file from directly before this quest. That was 2 days ago I think and I continued to play other areas of the game for many hours afterwards.
 
Are there any other setstage commands I can try to fix this?

Or does anyone know what will happen if I uninstall SS2, start the game, re-save, and then install SS2 again? I dont mind doing the SS2 quests again as long as my town would stay intact...
 
During this quest, I returned to Sunshine Tidings and plopped down an interior commercial plot in the long warehouse, which took some jiggering to get it to sit where I wanted it, but the quest did not progress. Jake did nothing and the plot's owner built it up. So I went outside and plopped down a leisure plot, which eventually progressed to "Watch Jake build." He came over and stood there, doing nothing while the plot built. Now he's just standing there and I can only open the trade interface.

Also, the text in this mod's quest line needs some polish. There are a lot of grammatical errors and a few voice lines don't match their subtitles.
 
I got the same with "J" and "K" version. Jake remain stucked after the first new plot (commercial). Now I clean the saved game and try again...
 
Hello all, I was stuck at the comercial plot construction but I could debug myself by navigating into differents steps of the quest via the console command shared above:
  • setstage ss2_sirick_mq10 200
The code do work if you enter the right stage number (here is 200), however you're maybe not at the good stage number, then what to do is simply find your stage and raise it up step by step until it's good. This is the code for finding your stage number:
  • getstage ss2_sirick_mq10
From this, re-use the setstage code to raise up your quest stage to the first whole number (ex: from stage 197 raise it to 200) and then raise the stage by 5 until the quest debug. You will need to spam the setstage command.

Ex:
  • setstage ss2_sirick_mq10 200
  • setstage ss2_sirick_mq10 205
  • setstage ss2_sirick_mq10 210
  • setstage ss2_sirick_mq10 215
  • ....

I've personally test from stage 200 and raise up each time by 5 until the quest debug around 225. Make a save before anything and give it a try.
 
I'm on an xbox and I'm stuck here as well, after building the required plots. On the last one, the municipal plot, Jake stopped responding. I can only trade with him. When I fast travel now sometimes Jake and Old Paul appear and immediately start walking back to Sanctuary. If I'm in Sanctuary they follow me around. Paul's always asking for dog food too. That dog is insatiable.

Fwiw I have the most recent version of the mod, version 11 it says. It fixed several other stuck quests, but not this one. I never tried the original Sim Settlements and hadn't played fallout in a long time, but when I heard about SS2 I had to try it. It's amazing. Beyond belief really.
