Solved need help with identifying scripts

hello there, new to the forums and new to Sim Settlements, I've tried doing what I can with troubleshooting for myself, but have hit a wall in identifying what is causing all these active scripts in my game, which is what is obviously causing Sim Settlements problems for me. I have 238 active scripts at the moment, which is causing plots to not spawn ASAM sensors to interact with and not building anything. almost all of them are workshopscript (itemid) 4 frames (zero attached 000000000000000000). Does anyone have a way for me to identify what is causing this?

Ugh.
That's a serious case of script lag/backup. Maybe even looping - difficult to say from just that screenshot.

Can you head off to Homeplate and idle there for a while, and every 30 minutes or so, enter the console and save your game, then open that save in Fallrim tools and see if the script count is slowly going down?
I had something like this recently - and it took me - no lie - about 10 hours for it all to calm down again. It did, eventually clean up - and the game is working fine.

Also - have you added/removed mods from the playthrough, or, played around with xEdit and made plugins light?

oh wait a mo - i see functional displays in your screenshot.
that mod hasn't worked in years.
i would suggest that's a potential red flag as to why you're getting so much lag.
i suggest you start a new game, but without functional displays in your load order and see how you go.

I've always used the root cellar in Sanctuary when I needed to do this. I'm just curious if there's a reason I'm unaware of that you recommend home plate? I have noticed that the SS HUD stays up when I'm in the Sanctuary bomb shelter, so maybe it's not a good choice?

homeplate is far enough away for sanctuary to be unloaded completely from the game engine.
i think the root cellar even though its a separate world space isn't far enough away for sanctuary to be unloaded by the game.

You don't need to go to home plate. DC, GN and the NW and FH DLC's are their own world spaces, it unloads CW from memory so it's a great place to let scripts clear.

I often use Dev cells to idle: coc debugjpsa

you have no need to idle if you are starting a new game - that game you reported is completely hosed. if you want to try and rescue it - then sit in homeplate - but it will take you hours and there are no guarantees, especially if you have a mod like functional displays in your load order.
you have to make sure the mods in your load order are in good working order. that one, for example, hasn't been updated in years.

yeah, I idled for 30 minutes in homeplate, went down by 10, then idled for 2 more hours and it didn't go down at all, so doing a new game without functional displays, just making dinner then heading to concord, but at the moment I have 0 active scripts.
