Ive gotten repeated fixing the game messages. At the moment iM not getting any but ..
Something in my settlement is causing massive lag whenever I look towards the center. Still trying to find the source. It causes a crash to desktop.
When I add a settler with the Contest Assistant tape or when I use Cheat Terminal add settler to add 1 or more settlers I get a crash to desktop.
Sometime saving (normal and quick) can result in a crash to desktop.

Using
Fresh install Wabbajack (with its fresh DL of SS2)
Updated contest assistant.

Thing tried
Wabajack reinstal from local files overwriting. No change.
Wabbajack fresh net download instal with overwriting, no change.
Copy save to fresh Vortex instal, use my contest collection fresh instal. I can add 1 settler. Adding 5-10 causes a CTD. I tried to export the plan a couple of times - no file. but Im guessing thats because the ini eeds updating. The weird lag at the center of the settlement continues. Current pop is 28, beds is 38.
 
Nope, thats the City Plan Assistant. I was walking about Yagisan's CPC Helper WJ. He updated it to the current month a couple of hours ago.
 
I gave it a fresh override download. My next step is going to be deleting it and reinstalling. But I thought Id get some data.

I logged into the clean save file. (Log 2)
Then out and logged into the last save I had. (Log 1)
Then loaded back a few minutes and went to covenent and downloaded my plan for it. (Log 0)

Hopefully that gives you some useful info.

At least for me, crashlogs are something I can read. I don't have the knowledge to really tell much from papyrus logs.
 
nods Well no crashes this evening. 30 minutes and Im Half way through fixing FO4 after I scrubbed the data sites from it, documents, and appdata. Once its done Ill redownload Wabba.
 
I logged into the clean save, built Concord, Xroads, and Bunkerhill plans.
Work on BHill plans logging out and back in a couple of times.
Loaded an old Croup Manor save to get an item code. And logged out.

Just had something weird happen. It rolled back the last few changes Id made before logging out (Gave me the trying to fix message). Later when building I turned the beacon off (didnt want more settlers) and I lost control of bunker hill. I had to go to the workbench and claim it?

Also I wonder if this has anything to do with why Workshop plus has never been able to remember my hotkeys.
 
I am starting to think you have something beyond script problems going on. Just a few questions here with some suggestions.

Are you using an unchanged CPC Helper install?
Have you Purged anything you have installed with Vortex?
I am thinking that you should backup your FO4 install, ini's, and saves. Then do a full uninstall through Steam, and then delete the FO4 folder. Then reinstall FO4 and use the CPC Helper. And then I would make sure that if you deploy stuff with Vortex, then you Purge before you load up anything with MO2.

Ive done that twice.

To clarify I havent touched vortex since this last instal. The one before I downloaded a gun mod - didnt instal or activate it just grabbed it from the DL folder and moved it to my mod storage.

Oh Ivr also used 3 seperate HDs with each install to put Fallout/waba on.

Since Vortex adds files to your Game folder its entirely possible that stuff you have installed through Vortex is affecting anything you are doing when using the CPC Helper. My best advice is to use the Purge function in Vortex while your building, and then Deploying when not. That at least isolates any issues that are caused by something in the Vortex install.
 
I'll give it a try. But I dont boot through Vortex - I use the Mod Manager in the Wabba. Like I said I cleared Vortex's appdata folder so its a blank install. Def_Ui says it has an issue that causes the $ sign to appear in the cash shop - Im seeing if I cant install their fix.
 
Thats kind of the issue/benefit of Vortex. Once mods are added through it, you don't need to start it for said mods to be there. And I know you have apparently removed things from Vortex, but its something to be aware of.
 
If you don't launch things through MO2 then the virtual installs through Vortex shouldn't come into play, and vice versa. Here' see if this helps- but you'll need to wait until it fully uploads and 2160p processes otherwise... be ready to experience forced stigmatism on a Tron like level. There's no way I could type all that in. Lol
 
I can share my level 3 save. If that would help :)
I was thinking that might be one possibility... if it was a game save from previous version of SS2, WSFW, etc.,. being loaded into the current SS2 version. I don't have the code designed yet to break apart game saves- it's coming. :grin This way we'll have better access to what's going on in the data. But... using Resaver, I wonder if it would show orphaned scripts and such. It might not be a bad idea to upload it.

I was thinking that might be one possibility... if it was a game save from previous version of SS2, WSFW, etc.,. being loaded into the current SS2 version. I don't have the code designed yet to break apart game saves- it's coming. :grin This way we'll have better access to what's going on in the data. But... using Resaver, I wonder if it would show orphaned scripts and such. It might not be a bad idea to upload it.

Computers make very fast very accurate mistakes :)
This is the folder I mentioned deleting - it has the script file in it as well as other things often left behind by mods. I then use Steams file check to reinstall the base files.

Purge is a non destructive removal of the all links to the game directory. As soon as you close it the mod refreshes the links (if any).

SS2 is really not feeling well. Their the most current chapters - I wonder if the all in one mod will do anything different?
Disabled everything even MCM and I ended up with a very similar looking file.

Halfway through the vid, but I wanted to post this now - If I see anything else Ill add more in another post.

You log into game, place the plots, and then use the export feature (From Workshop Framework) of the workbench to make a file that the SS2 tool makes into a mod.
Other than turning on the cheaty things to make building free/fast your basicly limited like a player would be when you make a city plan.
I use the 2078 holotape to skip to the vositing the Ron quest. Leaves Jake and everything else parked and not bothering me. It completes each quest like you had done them (giving exp and all).
I only hit T, T, and enter, enter to get into the game.
Second verse same as the first. In the Vault use Kah a couple of times, pick up baton, grabbed new vault suit (frigging reflex), and left vault. Contest helper did not activate. Go to Sanctuary. Get magazine and use TGM to build a transmitter and generator (Note SS2 menu is missing from build). Wait 5 minutes no Jake. Logged out.
Mods Enabled: SS2 (Ch1) , City Plan Contest Assistant - Season 4 March 2024, F4SE, Workshop Framework. Using MO2 and F4SE launcher.
Try adding in HUDFramework, Help 2078 has no results.
Try Adding Def_Ui - same results
Try adding in both and compatability patch - still no build menu no Jake.

Oh also it said I was making screen shots a couple of times. but none were made.
