Tonight's hotfix addresses the following: Note there's also a minor update to Workshop Framework available.
  • Fixed a bug that could prevent the quests Peace of Mind and How to HQ from starting if the player had killed Stodge during the quest Who Can ASAM. Each of these quests will attempt to launch after the patch for those players.
  • Tweaked the quest The Hunt for Knifepoint to try and fix an issue where quest objectives were not updating for some players.
  • Fixed a bug that could have prevented Edmund from fixing up the church and starting his sermons. This patch will check for this issue and if found, will correct it shortly after booting up.
  • The quest New Connections will try and force itself forward after loading this patch for players that found themselves stuck in the Warehouse meeting with Lydia.
  • The Power Armor Lab in HQ should now allow modifying power armor. Currently, the player will animate as if they are the one doing the work, but the scrap/cap costs will still come from HQ’s available resources.
  • Fixed a bug with Jerred Lund’s outfit that resulted in accessories floating.
  • Fixed a bug in the quest If I Had a Hammer that required the player have 6 settlers, instead of 5, before they could complete the first objectives.
  • Settler Death to disease will no longer enable itself by default for players in Survival Mode. It can be activated from the MCM or Holotape options menu under Gameplay > Disease.
  • Fixed a bug where equipping and then unequipping the disguise while still in the pipboy menu, even if re-equipping it before leaving the pipboy menu, during the quest Runners and Gunners would prevent certain conversations from occurring and the player would be forced to attack all the gunners to proceed.
  • An Objective marker should now appear on the gunner with the key after he is dead in the Concord Civic Maintenance area during the quest Dark Horizons.
  • Fixed one of the dialogue options during a conversation with Mansfield in the How to HQ quest.
  • Changed the objective marker for the Power Distribution Room in the quest Commonwealth Rising to make it clearer which room it’s referring to.
  • Fixed a bug with Lupe’s outfit.
  • Some of the Hellhound outfits should now correctly display a decal with their squad logo.
  • Unique NPC comments about the quality of the place they are at, will now use the percentage of rooms constructed in HQ to determine which statements to make, rather than always referring to the place as a dump. Ie. As HQ is built up, their comments should become more positive.

Xbox players, the versions to watch for when you can safely update are: 38 of SS2, and version 11 of Chapter 2. Workshop Framework updates are generally available immediately on Xbox.

Regarding the ongoing save file speed issues, I'm managed to trigger them myself now in a save though haven't found the cause yet. I have reached out to some people who know more about the way saves work than I do to try and get to the bottom of this.

Nexus says this patch is 1.8GB instead of the ~930MB the previous few had been?

That had been driving me nuts. It's literally the nicest building in all of MA at this point, why are y'all still whining

spoke too soon, they restarted when I went to hq was okay for awhile in far harbor, longfellows and sanctuary (both have decent sized ss2 settlements).

CPD is pretty buggy here and there (I'm stuck on them because I cannot interact with Lena)... and the uniform when elbow cross is clipping pretty crazy,
 
My rooms are all built. After the patch, i walk in the HQ. "This place is a dump"
I think everyone who played through and is an active member is just raging on how complex HQ is just like two of us lol, we are not alone in this
 
For me, i get the whole idea but whether its a bug or whatever...

1) I still cannot upgrade the med lab a second time to continue with the research quest so im stuck there.
2) I still cannot get the power distribution quest to do anything (i set it all up according to the quest line). I even checked the power distribution room in the basement. Zip. Zero.

It's just not being able to finish up these quests. I checked the wiki and theres nothing that can really point out what to do different.

I find with no quest markers which i shouldnt really need but in these cases i cant tell if its a bug or not...its too vague.

Hmm i was hoping this update would resolve my issue with ctd everytime I go to build/command mode in HQ. Any idea what causes that guys? I don't have any known conflicts and I'm in the early point of How to HQ ever since 2.0.0f, the HQ's build mode has always crashed for me.

Alright yeah Frenchie Jr is still saying "Dis place trash, man" every few minutes. I've only got like... three rooms left to build? And a solid week of ingame time passed since I updated to version G, although I haven't left HQ in that time.

yup, same with Hubert, I gave him boat house and all he knows to do is this place is trash
 
After the updated my department jobs got reduced to 0 again, except for engineering... has someone an idea what is causing this? Had the Problem before and had to rollback to an older safe, now that one is broken as well after the update.

hey, I need some help, my facility energy is stuck on 47/60, do you know how to even get that living quarters done?

My problems with the CPD seemed to stem from having started up the attack quest for the Gunner HQ. Lena had previously wanted to take over BADTFL, which was stated to me as "meet you there" style of quest. I went off to do other things, and also started up the attack quest for the Gunner GQ. Randomly the whole CPD quest line Failed, which I attributed do the Gunner HQ quest (and consider it bugged). Someone told me that Lena could just decide to go in herself, and might die, resulting in the CPD quest line failing. Testing that oddity*, I found Lena very much alive and waiting for me outside. We took over BADTFL, and as far as I can tell that was the end of the CPD quests so far as none of them ever gave me another one.

* I put that oddity in the same category as another user once telling me there was only a chance you might see the unique SS2 settlers appear once you qualified for them (# of settlements, faction choices, etc). I can't imagine SS2 putting together so many quests and lining up voice actors and writing stories for all those cool characters for them to only appear maybe/sorta/possibly once you qualify for them to appear. No way SS2 would do that to a voice actor, let alone all that work. So, Category: Oddity! lol

SAME HERE!!! However, you can reload the part of that quest just to go alone. I have the same issue as yours and now I'm stuck with both "talk with Lena" after killing "the butcher"(by the way he looks nothing like a raider boss), so is Nightingale "talk to Ellis" that both of them just stand at there and staring deep into my soul... 0:D
 
I have no idea how to get more Facilities Energy anyone on here happen to know or is this a bug? (still in the tutorial)
