Hotfix 1.0.0f of Sim Settlements 2

anyone have the hotfix? i didnt get to this post in time and would like to play...gotta take kids trick or treating tonight :)
 
I couldn't progress from one farming plot to the next on XBOXONEX, but with this update I was finally able to progress!
As has been said, my data was at "-0% build limit", so this may have been the cause.
 
update on my last post Kinggath! I tried out your method, still nothing showed up as well the menu.. I found this weird because I even disabled all the mods i had too.

Are you on 2.0.5 of Workshop Framework? Also do you have the latest version of the Fallout 4 exe?
 
Best guess would be a mod conflict then.

Next thing to try would be to grab a quick save from Nexus, there are a bunch that start you at the Vault elevator. Try using one of those with just WSFW and SS2 installed to see if he appears.

okay gotcha, going to try it now to delete all the mods i have
 
@tuki144 Can you send me a save file? I've not run into this issue yet, so uncertain how to proceed.
 
I owe you a Nuka Cola Kinggath thank you so much!!!! Everything is all good!!! I deleted all the mods, don't know what made the conflict but I'm sure it wasn't the two auto loot mods i got probably something else! I'll re download the loot detector later.. everything else is out of the way! :-D
 
I will give that a go, and yeah I hope they do too, or I may just go to the dark side and save for a pc lol.
I will however be keeping an eye out hoping you and your team bring your own game out ( hint, hint) lol

If Jake doesn't show up - it means the quests didn't start. I'd recommend starting a new game with SS2 disabled. Then once you get out of the cryo chamber, save your game, and try activating SS2.

That should take care of it! The nice thing is if it doesn't you'll have a clean save right after the opening sequence in case we need to resolve some mod conflict or something with another patch.

Here's hoping Bethesda allows console commands on console in their next gen games....

I tried what you said i disabled ss2 and started a new game, got out the cryo chamber, saved and went to activated ss2, but it was already activated, so I tried it again multiple times and it wouldn't deactivate, everytime I went back in it was still activated, so I just tried playing anyway.
I does work now for me, jake turns up and the ss2 is in the menu again.
So I just thoughti would let you know that its not staying disabled, as I'm not sure if that could cause any problems down the line.

did you update the Hud and the workshop framework?
 
I do have a general question: Sometimes in the HUD where it shows caps and resources, etc. It only shows up as zeros. Am I to assume that this is just lag in the scripting, because all I have to do is just save and then reload the file for the numbers to update on my hud. It's been like that ever since 1.0.0b and I've updated to latest release as they came out.

I am on the PC btw with a very small mod list.... (SS2 + requirements, 1 cosmetic mod, and 1 companion mod for Dogmeat + 1 person)... The quest that I am on is "Who can? ASAM!" and I am waiting for Stodge and company to build up Red Rocket while I build stuff in Sanctuary.... I have no other active settlements.

What I am planning on doing is to finish the Chapter 1 quests before creating a new save file and then record a short YouTube series that features only that questline. (But I want to release it as a complete playlist instead of making it episodic)

However, I want to know what the quests entail and how I can work around some issues (for example, be aware that Gunners that attack Aiden sometimes wonder off and you gotta find them all before Jake says something). That way I can focus on how to get through the quests and unlock everything.

The HUD is set to update under a lot of different circumstances, such as exiting/entering workshop mode, but if you have other mods using HUDFramework, there can be delays. F4SE definitely makes this more responsive.
 
I'm still having the problem where I can't see plots in the build menu. I was able to get the Stranger to (finally) spawn, but he gives me the quest to build a 2x2 residential plot, and there are no options for it in the menu. I gave it at least ten minutes, went out and cleared a dungeon somewhere, came back, and I still wasn't able to build one.
 
@kinggath I started a new game with a vanilla save and all is going well...up until the hostage confrontation. I chose the [Awareness] option and at the end of the Raiders dialog he went directly into the dialog for the [Bribe] option and started shooting everybody. I did this twice to confirm.
 
So I tried starting a new game yesterday with e, didn't get the SS2 menu at all in the settlement menu, ran the sqv command and the quest wasn't running. Restarted today with f (same mods) and it now runs after character creation. I'm not sure why but something about E (maybe earlier versions as well? my first play started with the original) wasn't starting up the initial quest, upgrading to F didn't fix the old saves. So for me startup with E was just flat out broken (I actually cut back on a number of mods for that playthrough as well). F seems to startup fine (same modlist). I am using Buffout4, not sure if the memory management could have an effect on startups for different versions.
