Tonight's hotfix 1.0.0f (Version 8 for Xbox) solves the following issues:
  • Fixed the model files for a number of the holiday decoration items.
  • Fixed an issue with Hollis Baker’s clothing that could cause the game to crash when she was hit.
  • Disabled the quest Ain’t Nothin But a Hound Dog, this quest was not ready yet but was incorrectly flagged as start game enabled. It will be added back in with a future patch when content is complete.
  • Plots will now construct even when using mods that hack the build limit in an imperfect way.
    • These mods are not recommended. If you click Manage on the workbench, choose Configure Build Limits and see -0%, it means you have used such a mod on your save. To fix this, choose Restore Default, then you can increase it from that same menu whenever you need.
  • Picking Up The Pieces will now re-register for the player to drop the ASAM Scanner after each quest objective whenever the game is re-loaded while the game is running. This should resolve an issue where the dropped sensor appeared to hang in mid air and not do anything.
    • If you had this issue, wait several minutes after loading this patch to ensure it has a chance to run this fix. If that still does not resolve your issue, it is recommended you roll back and try the quest again, as something deeper has gone wrong that we’re currently unaware of.
  • Added Canary support to SS2 to monitor for script data loss.
  • Added WSFW Version check to SS2 which will warn if your version of Workshop Framework does not match the version SS2 is expecting.
    • This version requires Workshop Framework 2.0.5.
    • This version mismatch would have likely been responsible for a lot of random issues being reported lately.
  • ASAM Sensors are now injected into many vendor leveled lists.
  • Potential fixes for several issues reported with 1.0.0e:
    • Plot menus unavailable.
    • Jake not appearing in response to the Recruitment Beacon being built.

If Jake continues to not show up for you after building a radio beacon, this is likely due to the vanilla game problem of too many mods at startup. When this occurs, your best bet is to start your character with minimal mods loaded, then after you finish character creation, wait a few minutes, then save and exit to enable the rest of your mods. You can confirm if you have this issue with the console command: sqv ss2_mqmaster If that shows No next to Running, then you have encountered this problem.

Thanks everyone who tried out the 1.0.0f beta!

updates for both ss2 and workshop framework showed up in vortex. Loaded save from last night 1.0.0e that did not have plot show up and it still seemed bad, may not have given it enough time to update. loaded save from exactly 1 min earlier before putting down recruitment beacon. Grabbed magazine and placed items. Stranger showed up gave me asam and residential plot now working

Run the same tests as yesterday and it works!

  • Upgraded Workshop Framework to 2.0.5 (the bad guy? :) )
  • 1.0.0d full mod setup upgraded to 1.0.0f (tested a save before starting Laying Foundations) -> no issues, plots show up
  • 1.0.0e minimal mod setup upgraded to 1.0.0f (tested a save before starting Laying Foundations) -> residential menu appeared after abount 1 minute
  • 1.0.0f minimal mod setup brand new game -> no issues, plots show up with no delay

Keanu Reeves Flirting GIF

played through till old paul showed up. All working plus codsworth is now contributing to some of the convos! that was cool. I did notice dialog and the asam playback was delayed for the agricultural plot so you need to stand there a min to let stuff fire off but its all working now so far and the asam's make cool noises now too

Did not fix my problem with the new plots not showing up!

SS2: 1.0.0f
Workshop Framework: 2.0.5
Savegame from before handing in "Vim and Vigor" Quest

  • Handing in "Vim and Vigor" - Get reward XP
  • yadda yadda
  • Option "Dont need explanation"
  • Popup new Plots available
  • Heading back to Sanctuary
  • No Joy - No new Plot Types under the SS2 Building entry (only the old 3 types)

Tried to attach savegame but Attachment failed (4,28MB is too big!?!)

anyone has an idea what I can do?
cheers

ok wow this is running so much better and there are so many little extras i did not see before. running smooth and fast.

Same here I'm getting operation could not be completed with the new update uninstalled the mod and reinstalled it and still popping up with operation could not be completed, other mods works must be something with the mod or something else.

Afaik you need to update Workshop Framework to version 2.0.5 first before being able to install the latest Sim Settlements 2 version.

I have tried everything I can think of too. Framework was updated and loaded fine, I have restarted xbox, logged out the mods and back in, deleted more mods ( just incase it was space issue) , deleted old saves. Etc .......

I need more test. At first the patch doesn't work for me. I tryed in a saved game with the first mission assigned (build a residencial plot), and the plots doesn't appear. Tryed in a game before build the beacon, but after build that, stranger never come.
I read some mods can have a negative impact, specially those that manage the build limits. I also use a bat command to unblock the limits. Can revert that command after use it?
I use this mods, would you please say if its can cause the "plot not show-no start quest" issue?

"Settlements clean-up": diseapeared from nexus

Thanks in advance for the help and for your crazy love with this giant work.

Same as some others, getting "This operation cannot be completed" when I download. Had a previous version installed, tried to update to latest, got "This operation cannot be completed" Deleted some mods, closed the game completely and reopened, didn't help. XBox One X user.

Xbox one X user here. Can confirm. Went to update workshop framework and ss2 this morning. Workshop framework updated normally. Ss2 downloads the update then once 100% is achieved I get a message saying "This operation can not be completed." Tried restarting and deleting mods, tried downloading ss2 4 times no dice. Not complaining, I am absolutely loving this mod!

It is an amazing mod, and I'm not too worried as I know they will sort it and fix the problem ( unlike Bethesda and their xbox crash), I also think the team should make their own game completely, I would 100% buy it

Im guessing its a size issue ss2 is the biggest f4 mod on xbox after all and i think kinggath mentioned something about
a 1gb mod limit in his yt video so that might be the issue just guessing tho so im probably wrong hope they fix it soon

Yeah you might be right, something added in may have stopped a vital part from being downloaded, I'm happy to wait and see what they can do.

Based on other xbox comments, I've only upgraded Workshop Framework (to version 49) this. morning and now I can save games again without a crash.

I'm still having an issue with the "well well well!" Quest, I'm going to try starting a new game and seeing if that fixes it.
