I was able to complete Critical Perpetrator Detention with no problem, but BADTFL is still a mess, and Simon is nowhere to be found after finishing Critical Perpetrator Detention.
Has #12 ever been addressed? Do we know whether or not settlers gain SPECIAL stats over time while working at the HQ, or do they only gain these stats by using Recreation plots at a settlement?
I am also having this issue, and the holotape is not working to solve it. I've waited, I've done other quests... no dice. Jake's private frequency is greyed out for me, and nothing seems to work to start "End of the Beginning".
I'm having this same problem with a lot of the quests. Almost every quest in Chapter 1 would not auto-start when it was supposed to, and now in Chapter 2 I am stuck after Hostile Takeover, as the next main quest isn't starting (not even sure how to trigger it... it's been weeks in-game, and I've...
There's a bit of dialogue in Memory Lane quest by Jake. The caption reads "H.A.M. radio", but "ham" radio isn't an acronym or short for something. It's literally either "amateur radio" or as it is spelled in-game, "ham radio". No caps, no dots.
Source: FCC licensed General Class amateur radio...
I've confirmed it has power, I've even replaced it manually and re-wired it to the settlement grid. The station is not appearing as active in my Pip Boy, and new settlers are not arriving to the settlement, despite extra beds and extra jobs. This is using the default City Plan that came with SS2.
He started slaughtering me with his pipe pistol during the fistfight, so I pulled out my own sidearm and pult two in the chest one in the head. Failed the quest immediately. Not even sure what I'm missing from failing this quest lol, but I assume this wasn't designed this way.
Can the OP be updated with a list of settlement combos that aren't a good idea with RotC? Unless there is an easy way to see which settlements shouldn't be built up with this mod? Triangle of Death is a given, and apparently The Castle/SS/Warwick... but there are others, right?
Yes, you definitely seem silly ;)
I'm using the latest version of NMM, version 0.65.9. I just used LOOT and here is the load order it gave me, in case you might see something at a glance that myself and LOOT missed:
Hmm, ok. I'll give LOOT a shot. I always used to use it, only reason I didn't was because he said not to. But if LOOT screws up I can always add requirements through LOOT.
Umm... Gotta say, I didn't really understand what you are saying. I did indeed follow the BitRaitBec guide exactly, except I added some additional armor/weapons and a couple body textures that were different from his recommendations. I even sorted my load order after asking him personally in his...
Yep, that's the one. Yeah, I figured it was a script error related to dying that was causing some sort of problem with SS. I don't think I have any mods that specifically change death in any way, unless I've overlooked something. I'll have to dig in when I get home.
I'm at work right now, I'll post when I get home tonight. The mod guide I followed on the Nexus specifically said to not use LOOT, which I of course thought was a little sketchy, but his guide is highly rated, so... dunno. I'll ask him for some help too.
Crashing does not happen when normal...
No, if I die for any reason (not spontaneously) while a SS settlement is loaded, the game CTDs during the loading screen when re-loading the previous save.
Trying to do Fallrim right now, fingers crossed! Thanks so much for this clear and easy to read guide!
EDIT: Only 2 unattached instances...
Would you recommend using the PC options for someone who CTDs irregularly when fast traveling to random settlements? Or when dying with a settlement cell loaded? Dying and then getting a CTD when near a settlement is not irregular, it happens every single time for me.
Trying to figure out what is causing this, I'm using the load order from the BiRaitBec mod guide on the Nexus (can't link due to less than 3 posts...)
After I initialized Sim Settlements with the holotape, if I die sometime after using a city planner desk (is this part of RotC instead of...
