Okay so the Red Rocket City Plan is being built in the RailRoad HQ

I... can't describe it any more clear than that. As soon as RR got to level 2 there was a weird glitch where the entirety of Red Rocket items are being crammed into the front entrance of the rail road hq. I can kind of find a power armour station and if I hit transfer, Red Rocket's virtual storage appears. Also, the proximity alarm is just going off constantly. I had scrapped the red rocket build but the bug persists. Anything like this happen to... anyone?

There is a known issue that if using the RotC plans this can happen with any interior space like Home Plate as well. As to why it happens it is still being explored.

First time I have seen it reported for there specifically; are you running any mod to turn Railroad HQ into a "player home where you can build SOME things" (like Home Plate) and or "full settlement"?

Dang, thought I had something there. These few still-outstanding issues are real obnoxious to try to find causes/solutions for.

Yeah this is the first time Railroad Hq has been reported. I almost thought the same thing about mod that made it a player home. I have heard this happening to people using Basement Living

I took a look at the code that places city plan objects once. Its at least twice as complex as the code that manages resources, which is pretty complex... it may be something that only Kinggath could figure out.

Its possible the origin point to spawn objects is being set incorrectly, somehow to an interior cell. And, that's the end of my guess... :scratchhead

Just coming back to this thread in case people didn't see the response in another thread that turned out to be the same issue (and to help people Searching later):

It turns out this issue is Known, and has been since even in SS1 days, where it could happen then too. As best anyone can figure out, it's an edge-case of script lag being at the right amount when you try to go through a full loading screen (or something), and there's not really anything that can be done to 100% prevent it happening, short of playing EXTRA slow and not using Automatic Upgrades for Plots/City Plans.

Turn off auto upgrades for plots and city plans will fix it , basically it’s when stuff is upgrading and you visit an interior it can unload the build there. So turning off auto upgrades on everything will fix it so they can only upgrade while your there and click the upgrade button your self.
