Yaugie's post-CH3 thoughts (spoilers, etc)

Yeah I had that bit. I meant after that. It's cool to see him there and all, but it just feels like it should have some result other than even more computer banks crammed in that room.
I think he should be put in charge of creating better armor and weapons for your team.
He is a genius after all.

He did build the Stheno, so he's obviously pretty handy at weapons engineering, that works. Although the fact that we only have 1/5 of "him" according to the way the story describes the Engramtapes makes actually giving him any job a dubious proposal - what if his ability to actually do math or something was on the OTHER tapes the Gunners already had and we never got? He's obviously fine for InfoSec but how often is that even a concern post-war?
... hm. Maybe some sort of passive multiplier on the effectiveness of every department unlocked via a HQ Research/Upgrade you can only do once you have him? That might work, can fluff that as being him helping out with his superior brain power or something. I am a complete sucker for mechanical rewards being given for story choices like that.

Speaking of weapons... if this is a bug, please never fix it.
(yes, the copy of his pistol Jake gives you at the end - if you're on good terms at least? - accepts Creation Club Paints and looks perfectly fine with them. No other mod slots tho)

Well, we did have a conversation with him after Madison called, but if you mean after that then I saw nothing. At least I think that happened in that order. Another time his terminal never showed up at HQ. I think that was the time LaMont started shooting at me in mid-sentence. Aiden was dressed afterwards, though. I hesitate to connect those data points. :D
What? We can see LaMont again after exiting Quincy?

I cannot edit the Laser Revolver Pistol, how is that? :(

On another note, are we supposed to do anything with our Hangar? Does the embassy thingy have any use except some visuals? Does the main room ever change from being a big infirmary & refugee camp with placeholder NPCs that aren't actual settlers nor members of our staff? (Does the actual infirmary in HQ ever work? I really hope for some changes to the disease gameplay too lol, I'm not against it as a whole but I always turn off most difficulty settings until I can manage sanitation and health, so I'm thinking there could be outbreaks only after we've unlocked said plots?)

Oh and did you notice HQ T45 Units have BoS voicelines? (I did because it was weird that they commented about the Minutemen dealing the last blow to the Institute instead of the Brotherhood; guys you are supposed to be Minutemen.)

I have a bunch of Creation Club "weapon skins" installed, as well as the mod "ECO" which is probably what's letting me modify it in the first place. It doesn't quite feel fully intentional but I'm not complaining, that Institute paint on it looks dope.

Also, did anyone see Algernon in chapter 3 ? He disappeared in chapter 2 and I never heard from him again.

That has been discussed. I believe it to be in the "patch it in later" category, possibly due to his voice actor being unavailable at the right time (if I'm not misremembering).

Regarding whether or not to trust Magnusson, I sure trust him way more than other certain bald individual you can have as your advisor.

Wait there's a way to have "a certain character whose name starts with L" as an advisor?
I haven't seen that one myself, but I'm gonna take a guess that it requires a very specific path through chapters 2 and 3 that I bet is one of the least common choices. More specifically, my guess is the sidequest weaved in there you can only get from a still-alive defector Berman is a prerequisite.
My first failed attempt at a playthrough was so glitched out I got quests I wasn't meant to on that save

Which reminds me of something else I neglected to mention in that big ol' wall of text. The fact that it got figured out how to do "perk checks" in dialog that don't even appear if you lack the perk, that's effing brilliant. Allows repeat playthroughs with differing builds to actually feel different even if the story's still fairly linear, and even provides opportunities more than once to effectively "auto-pass" what would've just been Charisma checks in the base game if you have the right perk. making it feel like your character's skills and abilities had an effect.

So I have questions, maybe I missed something:
1) Where are the rest of the Engramtapes and is there a way to get them?
2) What happened to human Magnusson?
3) Where was Province Bay? I assume Cape Cod or something? Also in Chapter 2 I assumed it was at least a town with civilians and not just the gunners base.
Also, is synth Magnusson a possibility if you side with the Institute or Railroad? I admit, having a "Mr. House at home" is cool and all, but still.
And that Madisson call... that was bold. If I didn't know anything about Vault-Tec, maybe I would believe.

My interpretation based on a few lines of dialog (especially from Magnusson himself) is that the other four somehow already got up to the Moonbase, or at least were taken somewhere with a strong enough comms link to email them up there. Maybe back to "Province Bay"?

2) What happened to human Magnusson?
That's... a good question. He's definitely not the type to have just given up and died, but he was already not young when the bombs hit... man it'd be funny to find him still alive as a Ghoul like I was theorising before CH3 release, and then have Ghoul-M argue with Computer-M; tbh, for almost the entirety of CH3 i was expecting a Mr House style "technically eternal life" contraption in that sublab under Quincy and not "the final tape"

Sadly for me the shot where it forces your character to look in the direction of where the nukes are hitting out at the horizon glitched out for me, I ended up staring at a screen full of highway overpass (because I'd moved from the spot it wanted me to still be standing, due to Jake breaking out of dialog to start taking potshots at the last few Gunner troops still alive) so I don't even know which direction it was meant to be.

The real Providence Bay is in Ontario Canada. N.W of Boston.
My best guess was actually the "Providence" that's in Rhode Island and thus south of Boston, but there's also a "Provincetown" east of Boston on the peninsula looking bit around Cape Cod... Either would fit with how the Gunners have approached from that direction for the most part, and how they were going to try to come in by sea until we artillery'd the heck out of them.

Same, I have a save right before that instant that I named :nuke: "NukeGunners.fo4" to go back and see what happens with a different choice and I ended up having to reload it mainly because that scene only works right like half the time...

It clearly tried to move my camera into the right direction, but I'd moved from the spot the quest marker was - Didn't want to get too far from Jake and break the dialog sequence, silly man was still 'in combat' with the Gunners down on the street level somehow and thought he could ping them at that range with that dinky little laser pistol.

Here is where the bombs go. Can't remember if it's the x on the right or left, but that's the general location.
