Not a bug Tree Textures Degrade

Before I describe the problem, I will say that I downloaded the 3-in-1 mod pack, and posted this bug here as it doesn't (seem to) apply to any specific mod.

I picked a city plan in Sanctuary Hills, and was taken on the little flight to watch the building unfold. As soon as I was picked up for the flight, the tree textures (where the leaves would be) changed to stripes of varying colors. The stripes did not go away after the flight, and did not change when I left the area (all the trees inherited the same strange texture). As I would get closer to one tree, the stripes would go away (perhaps yielding to the close-up texture). It was fixed by closing and re-opening the game, but I don't want this happening every time I manage a sim settlement.

Mod Load Order:
Sim Settlements.esm (version 4.0)
Winter Overhaul.esp (version .1)
BerretaM9FS.esl
G11.esp
M1Garand.esp
AQUILA.esp
BossChestsHaveLegendaries.esp
Colt6520.esp
CROSS_InstituteExpeditionarySuit.esp
IceStormsMP5.esp
Mosin.esp
PipeShotgun.esp
PlungerGun.esp
RealThrowingWeapons.esp
Skibs-WHMk22Redux.esp
M1Garand-1.5DMG.esp
AnotherLife.esp

My guess is that it is conflicting with a texture from the Winter Overhaul, as that is the only environment mod that I have installed is Winter Overhaul.

Would include picture but the game restart fixed the textures and I don't have a save file close to before the Sanctuary flight.

What you described and your fix "restarting" is a normal thing with F04 textures, so good job! :clap

It isn't likely a conflict, it was just hard for your system to load the textures just then causing the glitch.

When it happens in my 4000hrs of gameplay is:
Thicket Excavations
Sometimes, the blackface glitch
A few times with tree mods

I recommend BNS
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/30673/?tab=files
but I understand, it is a preference. still, it might be worth you googling a bit, and reading how the game handles the difference between loose files / textures and BA2.

I expect without knowing everything about your game is it is likely you will experience it, maybe just not everytime. Still, I have never experienced it being harmful and the underlying issues remain.

I assume after saying all this it is pc we are talking about not console. :acute
