Closed Trashcan Carla fighting

I'm also having the tanner visitor fighting Carla. I forgot to remove the flare gun from the workshop so carla stole that from me and now she is shooting flares everywhere, really annoying.
The current workaround is to disable visitors? Do you lose anything by doing that? Or is it pretty much just a performance gain?

The visitors are just a cosmetic way to make you settlements feel alive. All the benefits that they provide are calculated independently and will still be applied.

Alright thanks so it is totally fine to turn them off then. I think I'm gonna load the save and let them continue fighting for now. But have to get that flare gun before someone nabs it again, that was really annoying! =)

Wow she can actually die? Never seen that happen. Are there any negatives whatsoever for killing visitors? I killed one that was attacking Carla and nothing bad seems to have happened.

And yes who doesn't like D.VA! =)

I've killed all the visitors that get into fights. Zero tolerance policy inside my walls! It's always the same NPC, the name and clothes change, but is always a yellowish female ghoul.

So there has been a lot of sarcasm in this thread, but is Tanner blasting Carla and all my Cats and stealing stuff out of my workbench a "Feature" or a "Bug" and I assume from reading this thread she is a visitor brought in by RotC, and I can turn visitors off in the options?

Because honestly this is annoying as hell, to have Tanner stealing a mini gun from my bench and blasting the shit out of my settlement, it would be one thing if my other settlers attacked Tanner but they ignore her.

Thanks.

The issue is that the factions on some of the visitors aren't quite right just yet. @kinggath has been trying to figure out what the trouble is but if it was an easy or obvious fix it'd would have been done weeks ago.

The recommendation is that if this behavior is intolerable, please turn off the visitors system, save your game and reload that save. That should be enough to get them to go away.

Well I decided to leave visitors on and I just blasted Tanner, this gave me about a week of peace until I saw her on the edge of my settlement shooting at a Brahman and at first I thought it was one of my settlers shooting a raider but when I highlighted her and saw it was Tanner I just wasted her again. But I guess I shouldn't complain too much as I was the one that suggested having the possibility of a settlement rebellion, so I guess Tanner can be my micro rebellion to keep my guessing whenever I come back to Sanctuary.

Thanks again guys for all the great work!

Not a SS visitor, but the funniest one I had was during an attack on Sanctuary. Thought I had all the raiders killed but I was still hearing shooting. Sprint to the back area of Sanctuary to watch the Drinking Buddy gun down the Vault-Tec Rep for some unknown reason.

On the visitor front, did have a Farm Hand at Hangman Alley start taking pot shots at a Whirlibird in 3.0.3. Dunno who shot first.

LOL as to the whirlibird if you have the Arbitration mod installed (great mod by the way) it extends the range that npc's will attack each other so maybe that is what happened. I will have to think twice about stealing the Drinking Buddy if he is just going to cause a ruckus, but hey what do you expect from a drunk robot.

In my game just after ROtC dropped, I updated SS & IR as I usually do. At one point, I must have had 40 or 50 visitors in Sanctuary. My FR tanked in some spots and I finally got over the bridge. Soon after, I heard a massive gunfight coming from Sanctuary. When I headed back there, Carla was getting shot at almost constantly, and returning fire. Before long, there were about a dozen dead visitors, and Carla was getting right back up after being shot up a bit. Thankfully the visitors have dispersed some since then, now a few like to hang out at my Sanctuary Hot Springs pad.

Don't have the Arbitration mod installed. There's a high volume NPC fight area just to the west of Hangman Alley though, so not surprising to see Whirlibirds around that settlement. For all I know the Whirlibird shot first. Fighting was going on for a while, not many good angles in Hangman Alley for the airship to shoot though. After watching the whole thing for a few minutes I eventually left to do other stuff. Came back a game day or two later to find the Farm Hand dead inside the settlement, so I guess the Whirlibird won. (Again to note for the Bug forum here, this was on 3.0.3, not the current version)

Dunno what the heck got the Drinking Buddy so upset with the Vault-Tec Rep that he killed him--first time I saw that the robot had lasers. I reloaded an earlier save, finished off the attacking raiders again, and both are still alive now a game month+ later.
