Tips on fertilizer production?

Hi, I'm playing on complex and finding it difficult to produce eneough fertiliser for my farms. i am changing most industrial plots to organics nowadays and still not cutting it. is it imbalanced or am i missing something here?

I play on component level, and I can't say that fertilizer has been one of my issues, at least not that I've noticed. Caravans do generate small amounts of fertilizer, and I always build a brahmin feeding tub to help attract brahmin into all of my settlements (that have farms, anyway). Between those and my organics, I have been okay. There is an industrial conversion plot, the Coal Pit, that converts wood into fertilizer, if you have an abundance of wood (I normally only have that much wood if I have used the recreational plots to raise all of the relevant stats in my settlers to 10 before placing Mark 1 beacons).

Does seem to be for me. I have probably around 5 x level 3 farms and 2 x level 1 advanced farms across 4 or 5 settlements (using city plans too) and I'm at like -60 daily fertiliser. might try the conversion plots then as i noticed when i had one wooden conversion plot, it was producing a massive amount of excess wood (like +500 daily)
