I just realized, the sole survivor knows nothing about Boston. Nothing. At least a few map markers ought to be on the map, right from the beginning, right? I was looking at a list of locations in fallout 4 and quite a few of them would be reasonably well known to anyone with even a little knowledge of the area. Boston residents, I assume, probably know which direction Salem is, or maybe where the airport is, etc. I figured, hell, why not flip on a bunch of pre-war map markers for my next playthrough? I tend to like immersion even when I don't need it. Of course it ends up being harder than I expected, as is almost always the case with the fallout 4 creation kit. I found this: https://www.creationkit.com/index.php?title=Map_Marker And started to wonder if I have a head injury, as I've spent WAY too much time trying and failing to find this "marker data tab" that it says I need. It feels like it should be in plain sight rather than hidden in some crazy place, so maybe I'm having a brain fart. Probably that, as I have no idea why I'm spending all this time on something that I really don't need to do for a replay. It would have been interesting on my first play through.
