Download to 100% worked fine its accessing other problems and the windows is so small I cant see whats wrong.
My Setup is C has Windows, D has Steam, downloads, games, etc, E is my archive.
Been running off D drive. C drive gave the same error. That appears to be a UAC error.
Please place Wabbajack.exe in a location like C:\wabbajack and run it from there.
Im not sure what a UAC is - some sort of account control thing?Wabbajack DOES NOT support non-standard Windows installations. This includes installations with UAC disabled or removed.
If you have UAC disabled - re-enable via the Control Panel and restart your PC
It's unzipped, right?Been running off D drive. C drive gave the same error.
It's part of Windows. The bit that stops you and asks for Administrator rights to do things.Im not sure what a UAC is - some sort of account control thing?
It was trying to install from the zip file when I unpacked it (I guess?) the D drive installation worked once I unzipped it and THEN installed it.It's unzipped, right?

If you right click on Wabbajack.exe and select "Run as administrator" does it complete?
Just follow along with this video, exactly.I dont know how to get this installed. I hate to ask it but can you tell me what Im supposed to do to install the SS2 Wabbajack?
He can not. It doesn't work correctly for SS2, and it would produce an invalid competition entry as that is a prohibited mod for the contest.@Skywise001 Sorry for chiming in on the late side but if I'm not mistaken you can export your layout using "Transfer Settlements" and then convert it over to an SS2 plugin? Hopefully someone can confirm this for me- I don't have SS2 installed to check it.
April 2023 City Plan Contest location. There were 7 valid entries for this location, and I'm also one of the authors of the location used.Which settlement is it? I can try importing it here using "TS" and see if it works ok.
If that's the case... and it's a mimimal load order, could he pass his game save to another person(team member? or someone that wouldn't 'invalidate' the entry?) that could then successfully export it?He can not. He could have sent them to me, and I have been available in the same builders discord as him - but he didn't and this thread is the first I knew about him having trouble, so it's too late for April. If that's the case... and it's a mimimal load order, could he pass his game save to another person(team member? or someone that wouldn't 'invalidate' the entry?) that could then successfully export it?
The missing options are sign of a broken installation. That is why I want him to install the SS2CPC Wabbajack. It sets up a known good install, designed specifically for the contest.Let me think for a sec... a script writes text which contains object and position information to the papyrus log which is then read and those text lines which contain that information is extracted and a plugin is bult from that? I wonder if the papyrus shows signs of the export? From what I could tell the export options weren't available from the workbench(at least from one pic I saw).
No. It's missing the options to even export.Would the papyrus show that WSFW was trying to export the settmement even if the data records couldn't be written to it?
That makes sense- some scripts appear to be there... like the 'entry' point to show the options(from the [SPACE] selection from the workbench), and others. I'm wondering(though I haven't looked) if the workbench option script checks for other scripts and presents those options to the user if their present? Wrappping them around a conditional. The missing options are sign of a broken installation.
I definitely don't want to invalidate his entry. I was thinking with a possible 'broken' installation that SS2 doesn't check the presence of all scripts before notifying of a potential problem, only a select few.As the SS2 team member in charge of the contest, I strongly prefer all entrants to use the SS2CPC Helper wabbajack as it avoid most ways of accidentally making an invalid entry
