I have a question. When placing plots does spacing between plots improve or degrade stability or performance? I understand numbers and closeness of settlements make a difference.

I have often overlayed certain plots across each other, because the plot model 'fits' the area I'm working in and I've never seen any issue, not even pathing by the NPC's, but of course, you do have to take care when a plot improves and the model may change and therefore the pathing may change.

But to answer your question directly, I've done this and not hit an issue.
