SS1 and Conqueror not uninstalled?

Before starting a new game with SS2 installed I uninstalled SS1 and Conqueror. Having gotten into a new game for a few hours I notice that the SS1 and Conqueror menus are still available in the ESC menu. Also, I set up a generator and recruitment beacon and the main SS2 character has not appeared. When I went to Concord, the old ASAM sensors and SS1 hollo tape were there to pick up.

Seams you don't uninstall right SS1 and Conqueror.Go to your Data Folder and look if you still have the ESP from bot mods inside.Maybe you change something at that Mods in the past so they don't was connect any more to the Mod Manager you use.So when you click to uninstal only the original Mods was cancel that are in Mod Manager

After noticing the problem, I completely uninstalled SS1 and Conqueror and deleted the archives via the Nexus mod manager, but the menu options persist.

When you say "vanilla save", do you mean deactivate all mods, of which I have close to 200?
You can download a Vanilla save from Nexus many player offer them.A Vanilla save is a Game where never be used a Mod.So they are clean and perfect for testing. After you have the Save start the game load that save and look if the Game have the same problem.Your Mods will be loaded then in that save.If you have the same problem then it means that you have a Conflict or in your chase a Mod not right uninstalled. If you have same problems don't resave on that Vanilla Save so it remain always clean and you can use it always for testing. The reason to use a Vanilla Save download is to avoid to start every time a new game to see if the problem disappear and you can test even Mods that affect only things later in the game .

I tried that and the save file didn't show up in my load options. Maybe I'll try a different publisher's save file.

I just tried another savegame that did have a mod loaded for graphics, but I loaded into it anyway. Unfortunately, the Conqueror and SS1 config files were still there within the ESC menu.

Maybe I'll try reinstalling and then uninstalling SS1 and Conqueror again to see if it uninstalls correctly this time. Otherwise, I'll be at a loss to know how to find the files and delete them manually.

Look in your Data Folder you must have a SS1 and a conqueror ESP into it.Without that a Mod can not work and as you write you was able to find the Holo.To make an easy clean even you have no experience with Mods.Make it so Download SS1 and conqueror Manual (not with your Mod Manager) after extract them.now open the Mods and look where they place all files and what is there name after you go to your main Game folder-Data and look for that files if you find them cancel them manually. When done install SS2 and all what you like.

I completely uninstalled SS1 and Conqueror via NEXUS mod manager, Uninstalled SS2 and associated files the same way. I then went into the data folder in FO4 and ran a search on any file with the name Sim Settlements, then Conqueror and deleted them. I then reinstalled SS2, but still, the issue persists.

Nexus Mod Manager is no longer supported because of this. It can't correctly uninstall mods.

I'm sorry, I've been saying NEXUS mod manager this whole time when I meant Vortex.
Dont understand what you make wrong. You say you uninstall the Mod with the Manager. That sometimes don't work. But you now say you even clean you main Data folder from all files. Its impossible that a Mod run with no files or ESP.The only thing i can suggest at this point is to uninstall your entire Game and make a fresh install.

I think what you are saying is that is still shows up in the MCM menu in the ESC menu? There is an MCM directory under data you can go into and delete any remnant mods.

I don't use Vortex and use NMM Community - and have for the past 5 years.. so I can't help with Vortex, but you may have a virtual install folder with SS1/Conqueror remnants involved.

Get ahold of @RayBo for Vortex - he may have the solution for "remnants".

This is a great idea, I'll try it. Thank you.

If you're using Vortex, just create a new profile. Enable whatever mods you want for that one only. Then you can switch back and forth between SS1 and SS2 playthroughs just by switching profiles, without having to mess with your data
