Some good Mods for next Playthrough

Apparently I need to restart my game, so Wanted to ask what are some good mods everyone uses when playing the game?

I am a fan of clothing, weapons, building mods personally and I usually play o survival mode.

Maybe list what you use so you don't get duplicate mods recommended?

My "can't live without" mods:

In addition to those ones msalaba listed, I'd probably consider the following my "preferred" mod setup - I'm not linking to them but they're all on Nexus under the names I've written here. (note that I tend to play on Survival Mode when I'm not "testing" things, and I could probably trim a couple of these out)

Armor/Other Wearables:
"Gunmetal Armor Skins", "Shadowed Synth Armor", "Wearable Backpacks and Pouches", "Atom's Glory Threads"

Weapons:
"Skibadaa Weapon Pack REDUX", "HK G11 K2" (by asXas), "X12 Plasmacaster", "LAER (Laser Assisted Electrical Rifle)"

Weather/Lighting:
"Apocalyptic Weather - FellIN" (this is not going to be to everyone's tastes, it's quite dark/dusty, especially at night)

Other:
"DLC Leveled List Integration", "Crafting Framework" (the one that goes with Armor/Clothing Overhaul), "This Is My Bed", "Settler & Companion Dialog Overhaul", "Corpse Cleaner", "New Recipes 2", "Synthetic Player", "PCOP - Power Conduits and Pylons Overhaul", "Acids and Adhesives"

As is clear, I like a lot of little tweak/QOL things, with a token couple weapon/armor additions.
Also been testing "APC transport" this last runthrough, kind of fiddly but it's nice to have a car to "drive around". (even if it's just Fast Travel with extra steps)

Ooh, glad to hear someone using "Settler and Companion Dialogue Overhaul." I haven't used it with SS2 yet as I was afraid of it negatively interfering with the new NPCs. I'm on a companionless playthrough right now, but will likely add it back in on the next go. Definitely going to have to give "Acids and Adhesives" a try as well.

It doesnt APPEAR to cause any issues (Ive run both with and without it to no noticable change to SS2).
And that "Acids and Adhesives" just adds a bunch more Chem Station crafting recipes, I mostly use it to turn the excess of Bone I have (from that "Corpse Cleaner" mod) into glue.

For weapons Modern Weapons and for armor a mix of Modern Armors, We Are the Minuteman, Millitarized Minutemen. Then just a ton of utility mods like Fallui and all the other Fallx mods. A lot of custon changes to the sorting and of course Eli's stuff for settler clothes. My list is 207 active and like 30 light mods so a bit to list. And alot I have customized. My mod list focuses on settlements, crafting and killer weapons and armor. And my #1 must have mod. Cheat Terminal!

The great thing about learning xEdit is fixing mods to make them compatible when normally they might not be.

My "can't live without" mods:

besides the scrap and placement mods

- Solar Panels
- Wasteland Resources
- Woody's Wasteland Stuff
Solar panels are a great mod and on my must have. I am going to put in Wasteland Import on next play miss having the NV stuff. The Caravan Lunch rocks. But now that I got Slocum Joe's and a couple other add ons donuts are way better.

Yeah I do not like to buy mods especially with games that are older. SS2 ( & SS1) would be something I might invest in. the return is a nice mod and nice community that goes with it.

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/13285 - Cheat Terminal is a must yes.
Both Minutemen mods too. though the down side is that minuteman bodies like in front of the church in concord and in the sewers are naked, and some more lying already in the world. but the positive are far more that I forgive that little thing.
Eli. :) https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/22431 - Eli's Armour Compendium a must have ..

and because I am to stupid to understand bodyslide modifications I use standard curved CBBE and clothing mods suited for that. Yes its easy to convert they say. well I am to stupid for that I say :D

I've never had the naked minutemen plus the dead ones have modern firearms and armor on them most the time along with their uniforms. I also use the craftable militerized Minuteman uniforms and patches mod too.

YaugieLC: Thanks for the A&A as well as the DLC LL recommendations. Will have to give them a go. I have to pick & choose carefully, especially for weapons & clothing mods since anything that strays too far from the future-50s vibe of the FO universe really kills my immersion in it. Sadly i just can't do tacticool weapons & yoga pants with M.O.L.L.E

I'm much the same, the only thing currently in my load order that "bends" "lore friendliness" is that "X12 Plasmacaster" gun, and that's due to it being the 'wrong era' of scifi for Fallout's aesthetic. (it looks Late 90s TV Scifi Series, not 50s Futurism)

Well the NCR has service rifles and the AK style marksman carbines so modern weapons isn't much of a stretch as far as lore for me.

Thanks for all the tips, A few of my personal favriotes

Grease Rat Garbs, it has that Zanny Fallout Vibe

Wasteland Fashion

CHEF

Worsin Immersive Power Armor

Also for those complaining about Weapons not being Lore friendly

You will be surprised what guns were around in the 50s.
