Rotc crash

Sorry for late reply, was away from xbox for new years eve party, I'll get on this asap but this might take a while since I'm playing on survival, so no fast travel, and all of my settlements are using plots so I need to test to make sure I can go back to my fall back save and not lose a lot of progress

I tried that. I disabled all mods went back in. Tried to put down a gen shills it crashed. I will try a few more times but it takes so long to load lol
 
I tried 2 more times no good same thing. I also tried refreshing the city and the self destrucr still crash when I out down a gen

Just to make sure, this is with only SS and RotC correct? And have you tried the suggestion about removing SS and then creating a test save and rebuilding the city and then attempting to place a generator?
 
Btw it looks like placing and scrapping anything causes this crash now, I've only tried with a turret and an armor workbench but I'll try with some other stuff to see if it will still crash
 
Yep everything I place and then scrap causes a crash, thankfully my city seems to be doing alright without my help so this isn't gamebreaking for me

Just an update.. I can no longer get anywhere close to shills every time I do the game will crash. Red rocket is about as close as I can get
 
Have not had much time to play but it still crashed when I try to place or scrap something. Good news is I can get back in to shills if I disabled Rotc
 
I don't know if it's related to ROTC, but I get a lot of crashes also. More so than usual and almost exclusively in workshop mode or trading windows. I just traded with Carla three times and my game always crashed upon finishing the deal. It's gone so bad that I keep saving before I open a window and upon closing it. If I even get the chance.
 
is she getting blasted by a visitor while in your trade? I've seen that bug things up a bit.
 
Mine works great without rotc installed all but workshop mode in shills....that said the city is doing great with out me haha
 
Did you guys ever figure out what was causing this? I am having the same issue in a settlement that I had to take back and nuke. Game crashes as soon as a generator is placed and also when trying to scrap. I've disabled all mods except SS, ROTC and IR, and it was still happening. Then I disabled just SS, ROTC and IR and I had no crashing.
 
The generator thing is a vanilla power grid bug that is rearing up more now due to higher interest in in-depth settlements. Kinggath has forwarded his findings to Bethesda for a fix. Recommend keeping your fingers crossed that they respond positively. Unfortunately this one can be mitigated for but can't be modded around.

Just upgraded SS to latest version.I facing the same issue as well.
Having SS and ROTC , getting crashed while i try to place a Power generator in sanctuary hills.
Is there any way to get it work ?
