Rotc crash

I have a lvl 1 city in s-hills every thing looks to be running well but if I try to do anything with power at all the game will crash. Any thoughts?
 
I had to rebuild the city planer desk and start over. I put nick in charge and it started building. So now the only thing I can't do is touch the power grid at all or it will crash
 
I've been having random crashes in settlements. Just now in Sanctuary (not set for city plan) and in Tenpines (which is). I get an error that Fallout 4 has stopped working.
 
I don't have any problems out side of a settlement or in a settlement with very few plots. I think I might go back to an old save and see if I can find a work around
 
Hey guys, can you load the game with only Sim Settlements and Rise of the Commonwealth enabled and see if the crashing still occurs, just trying to rule out a mod conflict.
 
I don't think my game will load without all the mods ..... Well, I suppose I can load my mod free save but since I have no settlements as yet that may not work.

Alright, if anything you could try doing a minimalist load and just do a quick test of it. I'll wait for the others here and hope they're able to do an only SS test.
 
Ha! another crash, this time at the pop up saying that the settlers at Tenpines kindly decline my donation (why would they do that anyway)?

That I believe is another known issue that has reared it's ugly head.
 
Yep ... three times the game crashed on or after that popup.

Okay! :) Will wait patiently for bug crush.
 
Just tested placing a generator at sanctuary with only SS lite, IR, RotC and the wasteland venturers addon installed. The game crashed as soon as the generator was placed, I could try again without the addon if that helps

Hmm yeah if you wouldn't mind, that way so we can rule out any doubt about it being specific to SS.
 
Sorry for the delay, I just tested placing a small generator again and this time only with SS Lite and RotC installed, game crashed as soon at the generator was placed
 
Alright, can you guys try placing a generator at another settlement and see if it still crashes then?
 
Also could you guys try it at a settlement that is currently not using a city plan.
 
When I first noticed the issue I placed a generator at red rocket to see if it effected all settlements and the game didn't crash, it only seems to happen at sanctuary a while after the city's skeleton has been built
 
Okay. Stark, could you create a fall back save, disable SS, load back in and create a new save, then re-enable SS. Before picking the city plan again, try to place a generator, if you don't crash then go ahead and create the city plan, let it finish and then try placing a generator again and let us know if it crashes or not.
