Making all settlers (including SS characters) mortal + SKK SettlementAttackSystem on 100%capacity/100% difficult =:skull:skull:skull:skull

They fought bravely. We must have killed 2 or 3 times our number.
In the end... only 3 of my 10 settlers were left standing.
We simply were not ready for that kind of firepower..
Never again.

I used to play with mortal settlers and the Grave Digger mod. I would make graves for each of my departed settlers. I don't think I could do it now with all of the unique NPCS. I accidentally killed Connie Abernathy with a molotov the other day during a molerat attack. Had to reload.

poor crispy Connie.
Gonna have to check that mod though

Can you use that mod to off that annoying old get who pesters the life out of your to feed his fat rat?

I was approaching Corvega when Luke was attacked by the legendary on the road next to the ruined house between Jalbart bros and Corvega. Watched him get toasted by a Gatling laser as my missile was still travelling to its target. Happy Trails Luke.

Settlement Attack System works fine with SS2? That is on my "should try that one day" list...

He does work primarily via scripting so it's important to relax a second at the top of the elevator at V111 (unless starting elsewhere). His scripts sometimes are only run once events so if you click wrong they basically shut down for the rest of that playthrough.

Cheers guys, Ima give Settlement Attacks + Combat Settlers a try in the load order for a bit then. Anything to spice the gameplay up a bit.

Awhile back I did a Zombies plus Conqueror game with all the zombie settings set to most difficult. I led a zombie horde through Quincey trying to save the Castle but in the end the only settlement that held out was the Mechanist's Lair. I think the zombies can't path right down there. Other then that every n NPC on the map was either a dead zombie or roaming zombie.

I had to stop using the ones from SKK when in one sitting Sanctuary, Sunshine and Starlight were all depopulated.

Mortal Settlers are no match for SKK, with modded synth and super mutants using modded weapons.

I do use gravedigger, ha! But, had to revert to mass grave everyone that time. Just too many.

I use spawnable unique settlers to make super guards now, to keep the culling to a min.

@RayBo Honestly, SKK is overpowered for normal vanilla type game play... a lot of fun for those that use custom weapons and armor however.

And as far as stability, I will say SKK50 is probably the best in this arena - he is a wonderful mod author and writer.

Haha so I manually used FO4edit and removed “protected” status from the SS2 NPC’s myself. The SSK_SetllementAttackSystem just adds a much better & lethal attack system to the game that can be customized to your liking.

It is ridiculously strong, I had to tone it down a bit after suffering mass casualties a few times at Abernathy and Sunshine Tidings and found a good balance. I have Better Settlers_mod which had the boost to lvl 40 option for mortal settlers, so that helps some.
I’ve had some great fights though when I really prepare for settlement which is what I was looking for. I can’t start a settlement basically until I have all my ducks in a row, good gear, enough pops, enough mats for a solid defense & walls etc. but I do spend a lot of time dressing out lol.
I also changed the attack time to be really long between them so when it’s going down, ITS reaaally GOING DOWN and it’s more of an ordeal instead of just “another thing to get through”.

Well, that's bring devastation on to your settlements - have you taken care of Marcy in similar fashion? LOL.
