[QUEST] Art of War - Stuck at placing war planners desk (Report + Temporary FIX)

Hello everyone,

I'm not sure if anyone's already pointed it out as I didn't see it in the known issues so I'm pointing it out in case for anyone else who stumbles into it. If anyone else has any other way of solution than what I offer, feel free to add response.

Quest: Art of War
Stage: Build War Planner's Desk at ... (the settlement of your choice after previous discussion with Salvador)
Issue: Placing the War Planner's Desk in workshop mode doesn't progress into the next quest stage. Speaking to Salvador only results in dialogue where he tells you to place the desk whilst the desk is already placed. For me personally this happened at Spectacle Island.
Solution: Open your command line using ~ (tilde) key, type in setstage SS2C3_SA01 80 and press enter to skip to the next stage which is "Speak to Salvador"

Hope this helps for anyone else who encounters this issue! :)

Oh it works for me... the tower farm plot I had at the settlement blew up and some martial plot started auto building. The mslaba mod interior store plots I had inside of the npc house and barter area blew up and started auto building as defense plots with barricades facing towards a wall. All kinds of plots started blowing up all around me to rebuild as an outpost. I just quit the game at that point.

This just pisses me right off!!!! After spending all that dam time building that dam settlement previously which is supplying HQ, I have to watch it all go boom to progress a stupid quest. The dam quest could have LET ME BUILD THAT SHIT myself so as not to screw up the supply to HQ which includes wireless power supply.

The game with many mods is ALREADY AN ACTUAL NON PAYING JOB! then add SS2 and it is mandatory overtime too. Well I suppose the youtuber that made this mod is getting paid to make videos about it huh?

This is a really badly made quest it really is. Instead of screwing up a settlement, make some nearby location an outpost like an interior cell location some place that is normally picked for a dungeon quest but small enough to not be scattered throughout some giant interior cell. Shamrock tap house for example or faneuil hall whatever it is called. Hell the national guard training yard is perfect for this kind of thing! I noticed that fort strong is no longer discovered location before this quest. Murkwater would have been the ideal location for an outpost as it really is nearby the HQ but I had been avoiding it thinking there would be some SS2 quest that would allow me to go there later like THIS QUEST! but nope you can't choose settlements you haven't been to yet or that have been captured. How the sorry ass gunners can take over one of my settlements after allowing a guy with a pet deathclaw to live there among other npcs with giant miniguns they just strut around with and so on is beyond me.

I'm contemplating starting over with a bunch of mods removed that I didn't like anyway and no Ch3 just to limit what this dam mod does to my game. I thought the hangar would have some kind of location outside to land mod added vehicles like personal vertibird or vto redux but nope it just stays closed outside.

The only way I see around this is to remove the affected plots myself before plopping down that dam desk but I don't see how NOT HAVING a farm is some kind of benefit.
