I finally end the (so scary) New Plots in the Block with no issues (I skip help from Jack). I guess Jack call or something to continue, right?
 
On this patch and I just got to Where there's Smoke and I'm freezing. Jake starts the quest, and then I'm frozen in place - game still running, but I can't move and set piece does not progress. My gun is deployed and pointing at dude who was in Conqueror but he doesn't speak (Can't remember his name, but you know who I mean!). I've tried three times, approaching from different angles. First time Jake runs and scene triggers but freezes before he starts talking, next two times the first part of the exchange takes place but then scene stalls and I'm stuck in place (even tcl doesn't let me move). Had gotten past this point back in i community patch, but restarted because I'd gotten stuck later in the quest line.

I have a pretty light load order (same one I had when I previously progressed past this quest). less than 150 mods, mostly textures and really big, popular mods.

I suspect the same, only things in the "user interface" section I got installed are Vis-G sorting an Def Ui. I'll make some test uninstalling and see, hope the problem fix
I'm using the same vis g and def ui plus armorweaponskeys words recently started using a few mods requiring them again. i really dislike armorkeywords mod requires a ton of patching and its had a ton of issues now that it edits a few worldspace things the idea is nice but fo4 and big mod list is a hassle. and with the vis g and def ui I'm using the lost patches and the ones for creation club and some custom patches using par's script in fo4edit that visafies stuff. im guessing we will have to wait for a person with some better skills then me to make a patch for all the hud stuff to work.

have you tried cycling in and out of 3rd person view ? a lot of times that will unstick stuff for me.
 
Ran into an issue on this version with Hub of the Problem.

After meeting with Jake I went and stayed in the Charleston Condo because it was night.
Jake then followed me to Vautltec HQ but did not enter.
Went back outside for him (knowing it probably would not work) and Jake was gone.
Reloaded and ran back again, created a save outside in the chair.
This time I noticed Jake was unresponsive to talking to him.
Went back in and same thing, no Jake.
Reloaded in the chair, grabbed his ID number and went inside, no Jake.
I moved Jake using moveto and he did nothing initially.
Once a ghoul came running out the script "enabled" itself and resumed as normal. (good failsafe btw)

I want to say I think I broke a script where he babbled along the way to the Vault Tec HQ? I seem to recall him talking along the way on previous runs.

When I get stuck in those views or stuck in a workbench I use a coc command or a moveto command on my companion.
 
Issue with the subbasement. I pushed the button then moved the mats and went down, only it loaded me back into the basement.
Jake went on to talk like he was in the subbasement and then after I entered the subbasement he did not follow, although I heard the sound of a NPC landing from a fall nearby.
I used the moveto command again and then pushed the button on the ASAM printer and the script resumed.

Other than having to use the moveto command twice everything else in the subbasement went fine.

I made a previous post that I couldn't manually upgrade the water station do dad plot... Its working now.. build a new one and it upgraded ok.

Stuck in memory lane quest, after helping robot I talk to Jake, he start telling story and when Hubert walks nothing happening. Cant talk or interact with Jake or Hubert

I'm not happy finish really. As you say, AWKCR have a lot of issues. There's a tuto for remove the dependence from certain mods, but I not skilled enough to be sure the cure will not worst than the illness. Actually I broke my head and can't make the damn sonofamutant Hud Work, so I have no idea what I got in the settlements, probably must hire a seer or something.

glad to know that this mod breaks things. i got it last night and noticed it broke my game. thought it might have been another mod.

I'm not afirm AWKCR was the cause of my problem with the HUD. I simply dunno what the heck is going on. AWKCR bugs are more related to CTD's in workbenchs, broken upgraded weapons, pink textures or so. Despite that, I've played for years with that mod and more or less always progress. The problem is FO4 have a very ramdom behaviour from one pc/console to other. Some conflicts are almost impossible to discovered. I play a lot of games and FO4 is the most buged and, saddly -I think need medical atention- one of the most loved by me.
 
Playing "L" with heavier mod load,
" All Settlements Extended" " More Attackers - Get Off My Buildzone " plus some graphics mods skipping story and building like mad at hangman alley. seems fine all plots working water plots from extras working.

start me up does seem to cause an error on making a new game but it recovers and works fine after.
 
Hi guys. I have Sim Settlements 2 and all of its required mods, all up to dates, but it seems like I can't get it to fully work.

At first, I wasn't able to get the 2078 holotape, nor to be able to get the stranger to appear even after taking the magazine, building a beacon, powering it and activating it. At first, I had no hotfix installed though. I looked for the latest one (this one, "L") and installed it.

I was still not able to to get the Holotape (even when clicking >> Get Holotape in MCM was not adding it to my inventory), but I managed to get it through the console (help 2078 4 , then I found the right one and added it). Once I did, I received the menu-message saying SS2 was installed, and I saw the stranger coming to me, asking me to build a 2x2 residential plot.

Now the problem is that I can't find the plots themselves. I have Workshop Rearranged, so I have a Sim Settlement 2 section in my Workshop Menus, with other Sub-Menus like Furniture (with the city planning desk for example), Foundations sub-menu, some rocks sub-menu, and a sub-menu for the plot stairs. But no Plot Submenu, and no plots in any of the other SS2 submenus.

I read somewhere that when you don't have a Workshop rearranger, the plots were in the Special sub-menu, but event there I couldn't find them. Any ideas where I could find them, or why they are not available ?

I only downloaded Hotfix "L", but not the previous one (I though each hotfix included the previous wrong), was I mistaken and should download and install each of them in the right order ?

I also got a message about Workshop Framework being outdated when I got the message-box saying SS2 was installed, but I went and got the newest version but still have the same issue. Any ideas ?

Also, when I use the workshop now, once in a while everything slow down (even the voices and sound are in slow motion), and when I exit everyone is walking very slowly, and so do I (except when I jump, then the animation is slowed down but I can cover great distances in a single long jump). I checked my speedmult and it is still the same, also tried to change it through the console and it does not work. Even reloading does not work, unless I reload a previous save.

Oh, and lastly, I can't seem to remove the SS2 HUD while outside of WS mode, even when I changed the right options from either the MCMmenu or the holotape. I was able to remove the one on the left, but the one on the right remains. (Also, it is slightly righter than the side of my screen, can I move it more towards the center ?)

Any help would be appreciated (and please let me know if it would be better for me to open a new subject)

Getting a bit off topic here, but I switched to Simplified Sorting instead of VIS-G. Unlike VIS-G it doesn't have a dependency on DEF-UI or AWKCR; it's great if you only want a sorting mod, not an entire framework for armor crafting and customization. I've been putting together a sorting patch for SS2 and will likely publish it sometime after SS2 1.01 drops.
 
Still being followed across the commonwealth by Old Paul and Jake after completing most of the new plots on the block quest (martial and earlier complete, no prompt for municipal). Last time I tried to talk to Jake he started to respond with plot script but Old Paul interrupted him to mention the dog. Since then Jake = trade option only.

4th restart since SS2 released and I'd really rather not go through all of the quests again. Is there a command to force the next phase of the quest alive again?

The way it is supposed to work, may not due to quirks still, is you'd set a hotkey to turn it on or off, and then set the options to never autohide. Now when you use the hotkey to display it, it should remain displayed as long as you are in the settlement.

If that's not how it is functioning currently, then there is something wrong. Though if it's never showing with any settings, as yosef is describing, than the issue is likely a HUD problem with other mods.
sadly, this is not how it has worked for me, and even as of L it still doesn't behave that way. i typically have to open the status and resource panels many times per session, since they get auto-hidden every time i close settlement mode.

i'm also still encountering the same problems with the upgrade menu described by others here.

edit: eventually i started being able to do upgrades.

but now i'm experiencing a problem new as of L where curie keeps getting unassigned from the power generation plot i have her assigned to.

I've managed to get the status Hud working correctly, but the resource panel auto hides at a settlement each time I exit workshop mode... which matches correctly to the city holo tape setting which has only one option (auto hide = outside workshop mode). However MCM only has one option as well, but its the opposite to the holo tape, as per you image... never autohide.

I've attached my mod load order.
