Question Possible Bug Report and Help Request

Hello! I'm using Sim Settlements Three-In-One pack with the Year One addon. As soon as I assigned a leader (in this case, Preston Garvey) to the Ten Pines Bluff settlement and have it start building the city blueprint, I get CTD's every time I go to Ten Pines Bluff.

If I set and wait for the city to set itself up, I get a CTD halfway through this automated process. If I leave right away, I get a CTD any time I get anywhere close to Ten Pines Bluff. Honestly, I rarely used city plans anyways (I like to build my own cities and layouts). Is there a way I can remotely clear the city plan and unassign a leader? I figure that would fix the crash.

I set up a city plan at Sanctuary and it works fine, no crashes or problems there, so I don't think it's city plans in general, something is wrong specifically with the plan for Ten Pines Bluff. Besides this CTD, my game is pretty stable and doesn't crash.

System Specs:

AMD Ryzen 2600x
16GB 2400mhz DDR4

Running at: 3840 x 2160 with Photorealistic ENB

Is there a way I can remotely clear the city plan and unassign a leader?

Go to a settlement where you don't crash. Build a desk if you haven't. Assign a leader if you haven't already (you don't have to start a plan when you assign a leader). Now use the change city leader option and make Preston the leader of this settlement.

This will stop the CP from continuing at TenPines. If you use the town gavel to gather everyone, it will teleport Preston to you.

Then you can look into using the remote detonation options in the tools section of the holotape:


"Remote Self Destruct Sequence
This will find nearby settlements and offer you the option to tear them down. Once you start, you should stay in the area until it finishes.

Maybe Ten Pines is bugged in some more messed up way, because when I get to setting up the remote self destruct, Ten Pines Bluff isn't even listed as an option and doesn't show up in my list of settlements I can destruct.

Are you doing it from your pipboy as close to TenPines as you can get or from the CP desk at another settlement?

I've never used this feature so I'm not exactly sure how it works.

Maybe you have to be in range???

From other threads, but might be useful here:

As long as you don't crash when you're just nearby, you can use the remote destruction.

and

You can try the Remote Destruct tool from the holotape when you get as close as you can to Hangman's. Which will destroy most of the settlement.

If that works, you should be able to safely approach in a few minutes. If the crashes continue, likely this is save file corruption.
