Pipes, Bridges, Catwalks Galore (Spectacle Island)

Yes the new settlement am building will be a pipe, bridge n catwalk overdose... I couldn't find snappable silos and am not going to try manually placing them so pipes it is, from the aptly named "Pipes Galore" mod (The mod artist has a unique sense of humour).

As a savior has arrived and fixed clipboard for v120, my previously limited vision has suddenly exploded yet again!

So this is the first complete tower with interiors. 3 Internal SS plots per floor all rest is pathways and amenities. I have gone with a relatively spacious approach with this one. Each floor is about 150 pieces. The tower core is at front where the bridge stem attaches itself.

The building is essentially shaped as a "W". The staircase wraps around the middle apartment and is industrial catwalk themed.

The interior mainly has pot plants, water coolers, trash cans and lots of industrial lights.

On floors with doors, the coolers are on the catwalks.

Time tracking is important...

I will have all towers have pipes on ground, under the overhead, around them etc. The randomness in pipe design stems from some rules I have applied like to a certain height base will be concrete and higher they will have that steel framework around them. The sky bridges around the pipes serve a maintenance and direct approach purpose.

This time around, I will have a thinner and leaner High Tech set setup on the overhead at the center, with cat walks around the sides. The central pylon will have a tesla coil on top to fulfill passive power requirements in this region.

Stay tuned for more!

If now only Workshop plus started to work again for me, I would be a happy man... My poor character has become a masochistic suicidal maniac, after falling every now and then from the overhead...

@Umair Ahmed, amazing as always.

I have to ask? What is happening to your FPS with these amazing builds.

I can get away with the framework but once I add plots and settlers things plunge quickly?

I almost always break pre-combines in settlements as I like clean so I know that is a good part. But... what are you seeing?

Well it depends. As I guess I have told you before that I had built a 150+ settler spectacle before. It worked because spectacle is so large and having only 3 strips of plots circling it doesn't put much load on the engine at a time.

Similarly the first super massive SS settlement I made in sanctuary was very choppy but I could traverse it fine but "slowly". It had perhaps over 200 plots... But as they were so densely packed together; the housing was 2x2 stacked plots in the outer strip and single plots opposite to them, similarly the concentric strips all had plots... Made it extremely heavy for the engine. (Early version: https://imgur.com/gallery/bp4TA)

The current build doesn't have settlers yet that's why its butter smooth. Also as you see, I am trying my best to keep dense designs as far from each other as possible. The bridge will connect to a densely packed cooling tower like pipe nightmare... That cannot be placed next to the residential tower or the game will crash when settlers come about.

Also to deal better with SS, its better to manually do upgrades rather than leaving it to its own devices. There is no load balancing embedded in it as far as I can guess.

To fight pathing, I usually build my settlements either on ground or at least a floor above.

I don't have a master race PC but if it helps to draw a perspective:
i5 6th gen 3.8GHz
16GB Ram (the cheapest around haha)
256GB SSD
GeForce 1060 3GB

It does seem to be possible after all... It successfully offloads the residential tower interior for every other point. Its really fabulous news that I can develop all of them! I don't think having 2 in view will make the game unstable, if each is less than 3k pieces.
