Of Beasts and Bots (mods with enemies)

Im an Arachnophobe in real life. I kind of embody the "Lost a spider in the room? Nothing to do but burn the house down." Strangely scorpions dont trigger it. But then I never met a scorpion that wasnt tame.
I lived in Texas, so I do have some experience with scorpions, and it was no joke when I uncovered a nest of them and they aggressively chased me up a tree.
I stayed up there for over 45 minutes while they paraded around under the tree and kept making what looked to me like threats with their stingers.

We used to get the jumping wandering spiders. They were basicly harmless but they freaked me out how they would watch me. So I get where your coming from. What really got me afraid was I had a spider in my diving mask and didnt know it. It was mad so it bit me all along my forehead. I got super sick and missed the rest of the vacation.

That sounds awful and I can understand why you wouldn't want them around. Wolf spiders are ones that like to watch you, and then they wave their front legs at you, it is quite intimidating. Plus they look all fuzzy.

We have some spiders that cause your flesh to die off. I think finding that out cemmnented my suspicion that their all evil bastards. Ill stick to cats - their nicer right?

There's a Golden Orb Spider (limb-span about the width of my palm) that has her web across this stupid little window my kitchen has here. I actually felt kinda sad earlier when I went to get my morning coffee and she wasn't there, although she's back now, so all is right in the world.
(those are basically harmless, especially if you just leave them alone, so it's cool, she can hang there and catch all the bugs attracted by the light coming out the window)

Absolutely, and my cat will kill spiders, so he is a very good cat, most, some of the time.

My new feline Jolly has some strong instincts. I very rarely get an insect in my home and when I do its her snack :D

OK so I added MM Backwater Beasts and the frogs are adorable. I wasn't sure why I could collect them, but when I got back to my settlement I dropped one, and It's ALIVE. Hopping around and just bringing some joy to my settlers. I noticed I could also collect the fireflies. Just imagine a small flock of fireflies lighting up your settlement in the evenings. I collected a few went to my settlement and dropped one. FLOP. Just one dead firefly. I was so sad. I thought for sure he would float around and light up. I tried picking him up and dropping him again, kicking him and throwing him all to no avail. :sad

I commented on the Mod page about not knowing why I am picking up frogs and got a smile in return. So still a mystery to me!

You should def mention this idea on the mad page. I love the thought of releasing fireflies.

For fireflies... copy a bloatfly and setscale down to like. .1 or less, and give them a glow map, but make them neutral to all factions and script the them to appear at night in settlements and disappear during the daytime(just like the flies that swarm the dead bodies).

Easy for you to say. For those of us who are lucky enough to be able to turn on a PC, not so easy. And just FYI, his fireflies actually light up on their bottoms just like real fireflies. :grin

For me too... since I haven't done any modding on FO4... yet. But for that, I'd copy the flies that buzz around dead bodies and make the glow map just for their abdomens and reference that in the nifs... sorry talking out loud again. I tend to do that alot, sorry. :blush

Haven't met many huge ass spiders in game but went to glowing sea with menagerie installed and got obliterated by
a giant bee and all its friends
That was a fun experience. Having true storms eat all my hp and replace it with rads in seconds added a lot to it.

The little swarms Im terrified of. But a nice explosive TypeII Phaser can sort them out.

I like my Fallout as a more or less traumatic experience, lol. Get out of the vault, get jumped by 20 radscorpions... If only better balancing wasn't near impossible with all the mod added stuff...

That is probably one of the toughest sets of enemies that Mutant Menagerie adds - far more so than the FO76 monsters that inspired them.
