For some reason i am not able to Plant the Gang flag i have the mats But it wont let me Build
Just asking to make sure SS2 is not breaking nukaworld Home sweet Home claim out outpost portion
 
Having this same issue. Came across a person on reddit who said that they tried disabling SS2 before grabbing the quest from Shank and that seemed to make it work. So basically yeah SS2 is conflicting with the nuka raiders DLC on some level. The suggested fix is to disable SS2 and rush the nuka world story to snag the perks then re-enable SS2 and go about your business.
 
Ok sounds like a Fast Fix but i would love to have a perm solution from The Devs if possible
You and me both. I have extra building plans and stuff installed so I'd have to deactivate like 6 different mods to use this method.

SS2 is great, especially with chapter 2 added, but the fact that we get locked out of completing an entire DLC is a pretty big deal.
 
Bump because this is a big issue that should really be addressed or mentioned somewhere. Not even the "known issues" section on the wiki mentions anything about breaking raider flags.

Do you have any other mods that touch settlements? I think the only thing I'm using besides SS2 that touches settlements is the one that increases the population cap of my settlements. So while I'm not 100% certain its SS2 that's creating the conflict I'm hard pressed to come up with any other viable answer.

I'm just about to do a test where I turn off all my SS2 content before grabbing the quest from shank to see if it works. I'll post my findings here one way or the other.

UPDATE: After disabling all SS2 content (and nothing else) from my mods I was able to capture the settlement and post a flag normally. Not sure if its a recent version of SS2 that breaks raider flags or what but yeah its definitely SS2 that's causing the issue somewhere.

hum no as I build settlement for the monthly comps I keep my load order strictly to what is allowed for that so ss2 plots and that is about it.

Also, you do not need a mod for population cap it is always your charisma +10 = how many settlers you can have. so the base given is 21 max with 10 charisma and a bobblehead. if you want more people then up your charisma bonus or console command your charm skill.

well, I will say this I have not updated to the latest version of the mod as I tend to wait while I am building a settlement before I udpate so let's take that into account.

Ah okay that makes a lot of sense now. So I guess somewhere in one of the latest patches there is something conflicting with raider flags. Please almighty staff member bring this to the attention of the powers that be so we can hopefully get a fix? I really don't wanna have to disable all my SS2 content just to complete nuka world.

I'm using SS2 and SS2 chapter 2 along with some add-ons for additional plot plans. Anything I can do to help give additional troubleshooting information I'd be happy to provide.

Ive run into that bug a few times myself though not from SS2. You might try using the set stage command (Stages are here https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Home_Sweet_Home ). Good luck!
 
Hm, it's worth checking. I know that the underlying code for what will become "Chapter 3" has been getting stealthily added in, so it's possible something has interfered, considering Ch3 will be 're-importing' an updated version of the SS1-Conqueror mechanics... I'll give it a look, although it's not exactly a 2 minute job to power-rush through that DLC to that point...

If there is a specific way to check logs or post them up here I'm more than willing to volunteer my time to help troubleshoot. I have a save at the point where I'm supposed to go talk to Shank to take the first settlement for the nuka raiders but I wouldn't know how to access the code or what I'd be looking for exactly.

It'll take more time than I can spare right now, but I'm just going to plow through it on a "clean" "only the bare minimum to run SS2" save when I get home from work this evening and verify if things are doing what is described. This is the standard procedure I've been repeatedly told to follow to 'confirm' bugs before passing them up the chain of command.
 
I tested this earlier this evening, and found no issue placing a raider flag at Dry Rock Gulch. For fun, I'll run round and try the other sites, but i don't think it's SS2 that's causing the issue.

Update: Raised Flags at Safari Adventure and Nukaworld Bottling Plant by the end of my gameplay session today

You're misunderstanding the issue. I had no problem taking the theme parks inside of nuka-world and raising flags for the raiders there. The issue is specifically for when you go to take settlements in the commwealth for Shank during the quest "home sweet home" In order to even get to the point where me and a few others are saying there is a bug you'd have to clear all the other theme-parks out first.

I mean its literally in the title of this thread so I'm really not sure how you missed that...

Old eyes? I'll continue testing through the DLC. Been a long time since I've done the DLC.
