Now he's pretty much a regular settler

No other mods needed :)

Will this also work on stupid codsworth needing a bed?.

Unfortunately, no it won't. I don't know why the settlement thinks Codsworth needs a bed. Automatrons don't need beds.

Not sure if this is specific to this location or a general problem. During a "Defend Nodhagen Beach" attack by super mutants, I noticed some settlers freaking out and doing their usual dialog about an enemy, but couldn't see any baddies. Eventually I found some mutant hounds hiding under the floor, and eventually got an angle from which to shoot them. I have to assume they spawned under there. (screenshot attached. mutant hound corpse is glowing yellow thanks to Loot Detector mod by xatmos)

I don't know if the city layouts for RoTC have any control over enemy spawn points, or if this is totally on Bethesda for putting spawn points in the middle of settlements. Either way, RoTC is awesome and this is just a minor concern. Someday I'll find one of the mods that puts all enemy spawns outside.

Enemy spawn point are moved by RotC plans. (well supposed to be moved) but at the moment the markers are not showing up. So as you can see.. the original spawn points are being used.

I did have one minor bug with an enemy getting stuck under one of my guard towers, but not really even worth mentioning. I just wanted to come and post that the design of this settlement is really, really cool. Its my favorite so far. (I have like a dozen settlements started up and 5 at level 3). Kudos to the designers. Really great.

Sounds like it might just be time to install a turret or two under the tower and let that be a message to all who would spawn under you.
or something :)

I'll get in a bug report for the moved spawn points not cooperating.

Glad you like the layout!

Debating myself if I should even post it, I honestly don't care about such details, but just in case the modding team does:

In the "Home" ship with the extendable catwalk, level 3 after a final refresh. But really, like all the other settlements Nordhagen is amazing.

Here's hoping that there's an easy fix for this, but after setting up Nordhagen, no plots are spawning even after waiting 24 hours, fast traveling away, rebuilding from an earlier save, nothing. The settlers just wander around, building nothing. Full donations up to 100% scrap and no unhappy citizens. The city framework spawns fine, just nothing else after that. My settlers will build if I drop my own plots down, which makes me think that the city's plan is glitched out when it needs to spawn the designers plots. Then again, I set up Strong as the city leader (maybe Super Mutants make for poor managers).

Actually, Strong was my leader in Nordhagen and he did a fine job. My suggestion would be to unassign him, then nuke the place from orbit (that is, select local self-destruct in the holotape tools), build a new desk and try again.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, I've already tried that, even went back to a previous save just after dropping down the desk but before assigning a leader and building the level 0 framework. The original three settlers (mother, father and child) and any additional settlers who show up after building the framework never start building. The actual plots never spawn there, they will build if I drop my own plots. All my other settlements are fine.

Too mad there's no way to console an upgrade to a higher level. I'd just fill the plots myself if I could. The level 0 framework isn't much to work with.

Okay... quick update. I fired Strong, scrapped the desk, detonated the entire settlement (full charges) and to just be thorough... murdered all my settlers (including the kid with the help of a horrifying mod). No luck. The new (nervous-looking) settler that showed up the next day built nothing... no plots to build on. I hate these "it's only me" bugs. I guess Nordhagen is a loss on this play-through then.

If you ignore the RotC, and build plots etc as in basic Sim Settlement. Doest that work?

Yes. That's works fine. I can place my own plots and they'll build on them as normal.

The issue is not they won't actually build on the plots. The issue is that there ARE no plots to build on. The plots integrated into the RotC level 0 plots are not spawning for some reason. So, they have nothing to build. Perhaps the script responsible for the plot spawning is colliding with another script or simply isn't firing on my game.

Have you tried getting the cell to unload and then load? (travel about 1/5 of the map, and back) Also wait and/or sleep a lot.
Most of the "get building" scripts trigger on cell load. Get 'em high as kites by donating Nuka Colas or chems. This will increase happiness. Thus boost recruiting. Unassigned settlers should trigger plot building.

Yup, I've fast traveled away, slept for over a week... gotten them stoned and murdered them in their sleep...you name it. New settlers won't build of course because there aren't any plots spawned for them to build on. If I tear down and rebuild the settlement (via refresh and/or detonation) no plots spawn. If I start from previous save, no plots spawn. I'm out of ideas.

What happens at my other settlements goes something like this: 1) Pick a blueprint, 2) assign a leader, 3) tear down everything and set up the level 0 framework, 4) the plots spawn on the framework during the "fly cam" sequence (which is awesome by the way), and finally 5) after the quick fast-travel to the new mat location, the settlers immediately start building on the spawned plots. At Nordhagen, step "4)" never seems to happen, preventing step "5)" from initiating (the settlers starting to build).

Strange indeed. You got other settlements working, and Nordhagen works for other players. So there's something with your game... not exactly good news.

Any other mods you can think of that's interfering with Nordhagen?

I've no other mods that effect Nordhagen or the surrounding area specifically. With the possible exception of "Vivid Fallout" which, of course, is everywhere.

Nordhagen has been a bit squirrelly from the start for me, however. The settlement was obtained from a radiant "kidnapping" quest given by Preston. I left the quest in my log for so long I forgot about it and when I traveled to Nordhagen to start the quest, the quest-giver wasn't at Nordhagen. She'd wandered near the airport, and when I spoke to her she thanked me for rescuing her husband (which I'd apparently done at some point but didn't realize it and was back farming happily at Nordhagen) only to walk away from me screaming for me to help rescue her husband. I followed her (I hate that walk-away-during-dialogue bug), asked her where he might be... she marks my map... blah, blah, blah, but the mission had updated to "speak to Preston" at that point, so I moved on and spoke to him. After speaking to Preston, mission accomplished and cleared from my quest log... job done. After returning to Nordhagen everything was as it should be and the hysterical wife was calm and normal. Anyway... buggy location in general. That situation, by the way, was what lead me to murder all the original settlers, thinking that one of them had a quest script running on them that might be interfering with the RotC scripts. But, no luck.

A note on scripts, by the way. The last save I made during the troubles at Nordhagen showed no sim-settlements scripts actively running at all, so I don't think it's a script lag issue, but who knows.
