Noob Modder Question

If any of you pro modders out there can spare a few minutes for a noob, I'd be grateful. I have an idea for a few "Minueman Jail" assets that I'm trying to create, and I'd like to add prisoners. I'm slowly wrapping my head around the idea, but there's a couple of things I don't know how they will affect other folks' games and I'd prefer not to wreck their experiences accidentally.

1- Happiness and Settlement caps. I am trying to make two Prisoner Factions; one hardcore and one semi-rehabilitated. The hardcore ones will be unemployable. Will spawning these affect the Settlement's Happiness and Max Settlers, or does the game just consider the Settler Faction?

2- Keeping Prisoners in Cells. I'd like to spawn the jerks in cells and keep them there so as not to ruin immersion with teleporting and wandering prisoners. I'm looking at attributes that keep actors at a certain distance to markers, prisoners can only use their owned objects, not using cell doors that can be opened, and boxing them in with those pathing walls (I forget what Kinggath calls them in the tutorial videos). Is there anything else I can use to keep them from escaping to sandbox outside their cells?

3- Prisoner Farmers. I thought that the semi-rehabilitated prisoners might have their own planters (help grow food or don't eat is a pretty good motivator, after all). Can non-Settlers still contribute to the the settlement's Food? As long as Prisoners don't consume I'm okay with this just being aesthetic, but I'd really like this to be additive.

4- Prisoner Rehabilitation. Lastly, I thought it might be fun for players to see prisoners eventually transition to full Settler status after a period of time. I can probably write a faction-change script (by the way, can I add scripts to SIM Settlements if they only affect my assets? I figure the SS Bosses could integrate them, but if the answer is no I may as well just do the buildings only.), but does anyone see an issue with the game's Add Settler scripts that I risk breaking?

If anyone does read this, thanks for your time! And if any of you pros like this idea, I'll happily turn it over to you in exchange for secondary credit and apprenticeship; I'd like to learn how to do this more than I need my name in lights.
