Merging Addon Packs

Hey guys, I have been trying to merge most of the community created add on packs and the Industrial Revolution into one mega ESP. I am aware that merging mods by different authors isn't recommended, but I also do not want to clog up my load order with 12 EPSs for one mod.

I use MO2, Merge Plugins and the archive extractor that comes with the Creation Kit. I have no issue merging dozens of weapon mods into one, or making a huge armor pack, or even merging other settlement mods. Everything I use works fine. I use the Merge Plugins program to merge the files and I use the Archive 2 program to extract any main and texture BA2 files into the new merge folder.

However when it comes to Sim Settlements I am having trouble loading all the plots. Some plots just stay in a permanent construction state where all that is there for days is just a scaffolding. But I have also seen some plots finish building, but are missing assets. The best example I can give is a agricultural plot that was a man made pond, but the base of the plot was missing and it was just a floating puddle.

My question is, has anyone been able to successfully merge their add on packs, and can anyone give me advice for fixing mine?

I haven't tried it, but just a warning- if you're going to do that, be sure to merge into industrial revolution. Sim Settlements specifically checks for that esp file by name.

Any news regarding this? I am very interested as I would like to lessen the burden of my load order as much as possible. I tried to merge the Addon packs without including the official XPacs but I have the same issues(some assets spawning or not at all)

I'll say with fair certainty that you definitely shouldn't merge any of the Leader packs, as they'd likely have many similar NPCs.

This shouldn't actually matter. The leaders are handled via something called a Leader card, and the leader cards would be unique. In fact leader packs would probably be one of the safer things to merge in general. (Not sure it would be very useful, but should be fairly safe overall).

Having said that, there are probably better methods then a normal merge if you understand the Leader system structure, such as simply merging the leader cards into one esp and then adding them to the formlist for that one esp.
