Hi all -
I'm new to the forums and I apologized if this has already been asked, but I couldn't find an answer:
How many automated settlements (thru Rise of the Commonwealth) can you expect to operate at the same time without any issues on a high-end PC?
I recently bought a new, high-end PC almost entirely to play Fallout 4 better. I can run the game just fine on ultra settings, but recently the game has started to have some CTDs. I think it's because I've increased the number of automated settlements (probably about 1/3 of them). I've avoided automated settlements that are near one another (Example: Sanctuary, Red Rocket, and Abernathy are all handmade) and I avoided setting up too many new settlements at. Performance had been great, so I started automated a few more. That's when I noticed that performance started to slow down when interacting with sim settlements menus.
Anyway, I just wanted to know if anyone else had issues with too many automated settlements and % they could handle. I can certainly provide more details if anyone cares.
Thanks!
