Question Location found music starts when entering a prebuilt city

I've posted this on the NMM Comments page and was redirected here after further testing.

Encountered a very odd bug; whenever I enter a settlement area which has started building (so Level 1+) I get a music cue for when you find a new map marker. It happens EVERY time you leave and reenter the vicinity of the settlement.

I did more testing on my old character (affected) and a fresh new character.
On the old character, before prebuilding a city, there is no issue. Reloading current saves has the bug, and also creating a new settlement continues the bug to that settlement.

On a fresh new character, an empty settlement is fine, but then starting a prebuilt city does also cause the problem.

I also tested what happens when I uninstalled the mod from the affected save, and that fixed the issue. That is how I isolated the bug to the mod, or quite possibly a mod conflict? I checked to see for any conflicts in FO4Edit so I could try create a merged patch but it didn't look like the music type files for finding a town where edited by your mod?

Extra information: It coincidentally(?) occurs right when the hud framework UI of the Settlement needs fades into view.

I did even further testing; the issue occurs even on a fresh save with just Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch, HUD Framework, Settlement Menu Manager and of course SS.

I went off and loaded up my game, I normally play with the music down. I had a savepoint just before I return to Tenpines Bluff and tell them I've killed the raiders. This allowed me to plonk down a city manager desk and select a city plan, which should trigger the issue, if I follow your steps correctly?

However, I don't get anything like the issue you described. The city plan starts to build, I get the cinematic and the normal music that plays as the city plan is formed. After a while I return from cinematic to the settlement and the only other ambient sounds are the normal sounds and the cityscape background tracks, but nothing else out of the ordinary.

I am interested in the fact that you removed literally every other mod and the problem persisted.

Silly question time - but are you absolutely up to date on the SimSettlements mods? That's not really much to help you, but, I am very curious as to how/where this comes from?

Pretty much after I've chosen a leader and it's done the cinematic to build the city, I then quick save in the settlement and then quick load (so you're loading into the middle of the prebuilt level 1(?) city and it'll play the music. So maybe give a quick load a go into a pre-built settlement.

And I tried earlier with a manual install of the latest version and the problem was there as well on building a new settlement. I'm now just scratching my head.

ok i didn't do the quicksave/load thing i just let it run to completion. i wonder if that has something to do with it?
It's the easiest way to confirm if the you also have the issue. The main thing is either loading or walking into a prebuilt city is what cues the music. I think same as you, it doesn't cue immediately after completing building; you have to leave and come back, or alternatively that quick save and quick load.

I know that Conqueror (and faction packs) add faction specific music that plays when you go to claimed settlements. I'm was guessing that was what you were experiencing but notice you don't have Conqueror, not sure if the base mod does it also, but from what's described in the 1st post it sounds like that's whats happening. I haven't played without Conqueror for ages so not sure. I also usually have music turned almost right down, so don't usually notice it.

Realised after I wrote that, that in order to have pre-built settlements as mentioned, you'd need to have Conqueror plus Rise of the Commonwealth. Am I being blind or is that mod list incomplete? If you do have Conqueror that explains the extra music in settlements and that it's not a bug.
Ah, but then on re-reading the original post, pre-built may being used in a different sense what it usually means with Sim Settlements. Do you actually just mean using a city plan?

It's the 3-in-1 version so I would assume it all falls under the same ESM?

**Double checked, Thee in one includes Industrial Revolution and Rise of the Commonwealth. I can definitely confirm that I have not and have never installed Conquerors.

And by city plan, yes that means I go to the City Planner's desk, look at plans and assign a leader to the settlement, and then it begins the cinematic to construct the 'pre-built city'.

Do you have faction packs?
is this the music ?

I also get this whenever I enter a settlement, even if I've already discovered it. I do have Conqueror installed, but it is the same music clip as the one you posted, so maybe something else is going on here.

Gonna dig thru my logs and see if "new location discovered" is recorded as an event by anything.
